I actually wanted to show this motif yesterday as a watercolour demo. But then time was too short. Here I painted it as an acrylic sketch on watercolour paper.

Ein Spaziergang durch den kühlenden Wald endet hier an einer kleinen Lichtung auf  einer Obstwiese. Hier tummeln sich die Zecken im hohen Gras und finden schnell den Weg das Hosenbein rauf.

The Walk

A walk through the cooling forest ends here at a small clearing on a pasture of fruit trees. Here the ticks romp in the high grass and quickly find their way up the trouser leg.

Ich nenne das mal Allgäu. Die Vorlage war natürlich ganz anders. Das Schöne am Malen ist ja, dass man sich die Welt machen kann, wie sie einem gefällt. Das wusste auch schon Pippi Langstrumpf.

I call that Allgaeu (pre-alpine region in Germany). Of course, the template was completely different. The nice thing about painting is that you can create the world as you like it. Pippi Longstocking already knew that.

Gestern war erneut ein Urban Sketcher Treffen im Zoo Hannover.
Ich habe diesmal in MixedMedia mit Acryl, (Untergrund), Füller, Gouache und Aquarell in einem Skizzenbuch gearbeitet. Nicht mehr, als ein Experiment, was aber viel Spaß gemacht hat.

Yesterday was another Urban Sketcher meeting at the Zoo in Hanover.
This time I worked in MixedMedia with acrylic, (background), pen, gouache and watercolour in a sketchbook. No more than an experiment, but it was a lot of fun.

Wir haben gestern den Tag mit der Übung "Canaletto-Blick" beendet. Hierfür wurde ein vorher zufällig aquarelliertes Blatt mit den groben Formen des Neuen Rathauses und weiteren Strichen, Stempel und Formen belebt. (8 Min.)

Yesterday ended with the exercise "Canaletto View". For this purpose, a previously randomly watercoloured sheet was enliivened with the coarse forms of the New Town Hall and other strokes, stamps and forms.
