The new boesner catalogue 2019/2020 is out now. If you look through the more than 1,500 pages of the artist's material, you might also find the 3 double pages (p. 626 ff.) in which my "artist & studio story" is published. Gestern einen schönen Frühlingstag in der Nähe von Bremen verbracht. Obwohl mache Windböe noch kalt durch den Mantel drang, wird es langsam grüner und spannender. Die Vögelein und die Tierwelt scheinen es ebenfalls kaum noch erwarten zu können.

Yesterday we spent a beautiful spring day near Bremen. Although some chilly gusts of wind penetrated through the coat, it is slowly becoming greener and more exciting. The little birds and the animal world seem to be waiting for it as well.

Hier, on a passé une belle journée de printemps près de Brême. Bien que les vents froids ont pénétré à travers le manteau, il devient lentement plus vert et plus excitant. Aussi les petits oiseaux et le monde animal semblent attendre.

Ob altes Fahrrad oder alter Käfer. Der Charme ist meist größer, wenn man es mit dem entsprechend verklärten Abstand betrachtet. Dass weder Heizung, noch Bremsen, noch die unzureichende 6-Volt-Batterie oder der Kofferraum oder oder oder... letzlich bleibt es ein Kult-Auto.

Whether old bicycle or old beetle. The charm is usually greater if you look at it with the correspondingly transfigured distance. That neither heating, nor brakes, nor the insufficient 6-Volt battery or the trunk or or or or... Ultimately it remains a cult car.

Qu'il s'agisse d'un vieux vélo ou d'un vieux VW Coccinelle. Le charme est généralement plus grand si vous le regardez avec la distance transfigurée correspondante. Que ni le chauffage, ni les freins, ni la batterie 6 Volts insuffisante ou le coffre ou ou ou ou.... En fin de compte, elle reste une voiture culte.

Gar nicht so einfach, das richtige Scilla-Blau zu mischen. 

Natürlich hat kein Hersteller das als fertige Farbe im Programm. 

It's not that easy to mix the real Scilla blue. 

Of course, no manufacturer has this as a finished colour in its range. 

Ce n'est pas si facile de mélanger le vrai bleu Scilla. 

Bien sûr, aucun fabricant n'a cette couleur dans sa collection.

2769 Sonntagsskizzen 35

Am kalten Mittwoch habe ich noch dieses zweite Bild skizziert. Hier auch mit den blauen Scilla-Blümchen. Durch Zufall lief mir die Aquarellsuppe auf die linke Seite. Das ganze Bild sieht damit aber irgendwie "kompletter" aus.

On the cold Wednesday I sketched this second painting. Here also with the blue Scilla flowers. By chance the watercolour soup ran to my left page. But the whole picture looks somehow more "complete".

Par le froid du mercredi, j'ai dessiné cette deuxième scène. Avec les fleurs bleues de Scilla. Par chance, la soupe à l'aquarelle courait sur le côté gauche. Mais tout est plus "complet".

Seit einiger Zeit kursiert das von der Firma Hahnemühle stammende »GreyBook«, um dieses Erprobungszwecken zu unterziehen. Hierfür haben sich insgesamt 33 Urban Sketcher zusammengefunden,  es zu bemalen und anschließend weiterzuschicken. Dies ist mein Beitrag, den ich mit Acryl ins Buch gemalt habe.

For some time now, the "GreyBook" from Hahnemuehle company has been circulating in order to undergo a series of tests. A total of 33 Urban Sketchers have joined to paint on it and then send it on to teh next enlisted person. 
This is my contribution, which I painted with acrylic into the book.

Depuis quelque temps déjà, le "GreyBook" de la société Hahnemuehle circule afin de subir une série de tests. Un total de 33 Urban Sketchers se sont joints pour peindre dessus et l'envoyer à la prochaine personne enrôlée. 

C'est ma contribution, que j'ai peinte à l'acrylique dans le livre.

Nachdem ich gestern mit der Gouachefarbe so meine Maleste hatte, wollte ich das Motiv nochmal auf die gute alte Acryl-Art und Weise realisieren.

After I had my difficulties with the gouache color yesterday, I wanted to realize the motive again in the good old acrylic way.

2756 Stöckener Friedhof

Gestern waren wir mit den Hannoveraner Urban Sketchern auf dem Friedhof Stöcken. Bei den momentan herrschenden Niedrigtemperaturen und Dauerregen war es ein ambitioniertes Unterfangen. Ich setzte mich unter einen Friedhofsbau und war weitgehend vor Wind und Regen geschützt.

Yesterday we were with the Hanoverian Urban Sketchers at the cemetery Stöcken. With the currently prevailing low temperatures and continuous rain it was an ambitious undertaking. I sat down under a cemetery building and was largely protected from wind and rain.

Hier, nous étions au cimetière de Stöcken avec les Hanovriens Urban Sketchers. Avec les basses températures actuelles et les pluies incessantes, c'était une entreprise ambitieuse. Je me suis assis sous un cimetière et j'étais largement protégé du vent et de la pluie.

Da ist ja Stress vorprogrammiert, wenn man am Weltfrauentag dieses Bild postet. Aber es war so gar nicht geplant. Ist nur eine Vorübung für meine morgige Vorführung bei boesner Osnabrück.

Stress is inevitable when you post this painting on International Women's Day. But it wasn't planned at all. It's just a preliminary exercise for my presentation tomorrow at boesner Osnabrück.

Aber lebend sind sie mir dennoch lieber.

In real life they would all have flown away or run away.

But I still prefer them alive.

Croquis dominicaux d'autres animaux en peluche. Dans la vraie vie, ils se seraient tous envolés ou se seraient enfuis. Mais je les préfère encore vivants.

Die Früchte gelten ja auch als Aphrodisiakum.

In der Ikonographie stehen sie für Fruchtbarkeit, die weibliche Brust, Macht und als Symbol des Priesterstandes. Alles in meinem Bild? Klasse!

Pomegranates

The fruits are also considered an aphrodisiac.

In iconography they stand for fertility, the female breast, power and as a symbol of the priesthood. Everything in my picture? Awesome!

Grenades

Les fruits sont également considérés comme aphrodisiaques.

Dans l'iconographie, ils représentent la fertilité, la poitrine féminine, le pouvoir et comme symbole du sacerdoce. Tout sur ma peinture? Génial !
