Toulouse has so many beautiful squares, such as Wilson Square. The brush pen is actually ready for any situation. I'm now getting ready for my first demo at the Urban Sketchers Symposium 2026.
Toulouse regorge de belles places, comme par exemple la place Wilson. Le stylo pinceau est en fait adapté à toutes les situations. Je me prépare maintenant pour ma première démonstration au Symposium des Urban Sketchers 2026.

Bei den Streifzügen durch Toulouse findet man grenzenlos viele interessante Gebäude zum Skizzieren. Und überall gibt es schon freundliche Sketchers, die am Symposium teilnehmen.
As you wander through Toulouse, you'll find an endless number of interesting buildings to sketch. And everywhere you look, there are already friendly sketchers taking part in the symposium.
En flânant dans Toulouse, on trouve une multitude de bâtiments intéressants à dessiner. Et partout, on croise déjà des dessinateurs sympathiques qui participent au symposium.
Wettermäßig steht das hier bei 36°C im Schatten nicht schlecht. Wenn man trockene Hitze und erfrischenden Wind mag ist es klasse (ich mag's!).
Weather-wise, it's not bad here at 36°C in the shade. If you like dry heat and a refreshing breeze, it's great (I do!).
Côté météo, ce n'est pas mal du tout ici, avec 36 °C à l'ombre. Si on aime la chaleur sèche et la brise rafraîchissante, c'est génial (moi, j'adore !).

Wow - Toulouse wir sind da! Kaum angekommen, hat uns die Stadt schon mit ihrem Charme und ihrer Architektur und ihren Menschen eingenommen. Es blieb heute nur wenig Zeit nach dem Abendessen für einen schnellen Sketch.
Wow—Toulouse, here we are! We’d barely arrived when the city already won us over with its charm, architecture, and people. After dinner today, we only had a little time left for a quick sketch.
Waouh ! Toulouse, nous voilà ! À peine arrivés, la ville nous a déjà conquis par son charme, son architecture et ses habitants. Aujourd’hui, après le dîner, il ne nous restait que peu de temps pour faire un croquis rapide.

The Quartier de la Daurade also seems to be particularly beautiful—at least, Google Maps showed me some really nice views of the area. Starting Saturday evening, I'll be in Toulouse and will be able to see it all for myself!
Le quartier de la Daurade semble donc particulièrement beau — du moins, Google Maps m'a montré de très jolies vues de ce quartier. À partir de samedi soir, je serai à Toulouse et je pourrai découvrir tout cela par moi-même !

The date of the 2026 Urban Sketcher Symposium in Toulouse is drawing nearer, and the sketches are becoming “more realistic” in terms of the time they take to complete.
La date du Symposium Urban Sketcher 2026 à Toulouse approche à grands pas, et les croquis deviennent « plus réalistes » en termes de temps nécessaire à leur réalisation.

I'm now trying to color a few quick BrushPen sketches (based on photos)—as preliminary studies for the subjects that will be waiting for me next week in Toulouse.
J'essaie actuellement de colorier quelques croquis rapides réalisés au BrushPen (d'après des photos), en guise d'études préliminaires pour les sujets qui m'attendent la semaine prochaine à Toulouse.

Schon sehr bald geht es los nach Toulouse (Frankreich). Dort darf ich meine ersten Workshops auf dem Internationalen Symposium der Urban Sketchers geben. Meine Workshop Location ist der Place Saint-Pierre direkt an der gleichnamigen Brücke über die Garonne. Bin schon sehr gespannt auf die Teilnehmenden! Folgt mir gerne für mehr Infos.
I’ll be heading to Toulouse, France, very soon. There, I’ll be teaching my first workshops at the International Urban Sketchers Symposium. Schlossparkseitentorzugang
Schön im Schatten sitzend am bisher heißesten Tag des Jahrhunderts kam dieses Tor zu Ehren von vielen Mitsketchern meines Workshops am Wochenende gezeichnet zu werden. erst später fiel mir auf, dass die Form am linken Stamm eher wie ein an den Stamm genageltes totes Kaninchen denn wie Blattwerk aussieht ;) Und das Eichhörnchen trauert um seinen Freund. So kann man eine Story erzählen, ohne es zu wollen.
Entrance Gate on the Castle Park Side
Sitting comfortably in the shade on what has been the hottest day of the century so far, this gate was sketched by many of my fellow workshop participants over the weekend. It wasn’t until later that I noticed the shape on the left tree trunk looks more like a dead rabbit than foliage ;) And the squirrel is mourning its friend. That’s how you can tell a story without even meaning to.
Entrée côté parc du château
Confortablement installés à l'ombre lors de ce qui a été jusqu'à présent la journée la plus chaude du siècle, cette porte a eu l'honneur d'être dessinée par de nombreux participants à mon atelier ce week-end. Ce n'est que plus tard que j'ai remarqué que la forme sur le tronc de gauche ressemblait davantage à un lapin mort qu'à du feuillage ;) Et l'écureuil pleure la perte de son ami. C'est ainsi qu'on peut raconter une histoire sans le vouloir.
