The year for Urban Sketchers Hannover started a little late this time, in February. But as always, it began at Hannover's New Town Hall.

I'm currently reading a lot of crime novels by Oscar de Muriel, which are set in the Victorian era. One of them (A Mask of Shadows) is set in the theater world. That's probably what inspired me to paint this portrait today.
Je lis actuellement beaucoup de romans policiers d'Oscar de Muriel qui se déroulent à l'époque victorienne. L'un d'entre eux (A Mask of Shadows) se déroule dans le milieu du théâtre. C'est sans doute ce qui m'a inspiré ce portrait aujourd'hui.
