Die erste SKETCHCON - eine von mir organisiertes 3-tägiges Treffen der (nicht nur) norddeutschen Sketcherszene ging am Sonntag in Hannover zu Ende. Es war riesig aufregend und mit über 100 Teilnehmern plus 15 Dozent/innen und 30 Workshops ein großer Erfolg! 

"Nebenbei" habe ich selbe 2 Workshops geleitet und die Skizze ist eine Demo-Skizze fürs Skizzieren mit wasserfester Tusche und Füller.

The first SKETCHCON  - a 3-day meeting of the (not only) northern German sketcher scene organized by me ended on Sunday in Hannover. It was hugely exciting and with over 100 participants plus 15 lecturers and 30 workshops a great success! 

Besides I gave 2 workshops and this is a demo for sketching with waterproof ink and fountain pen.

La première SKETCHCON , une rencontre de trois jours que j'ai organisée pour la scène des sketchers (et pas seulement) du nord de l'Allemagne, s'est terminée dimanche à Hanovre. C'était très excitant et un grand succès avec plus de 100 participants, 15 enseignants et 30 séminaires !

4017 Nebelgekrähe

Diese "Studie" hat sich ab der Hälfte des Malens verselbständigt. Danach folgte das berüchtigte "Totmalen". Am Ende habe ich den gesamten Hintergrund mit weißem "Nebel" übermalt. 

This "study" took on a life of its own from halfway through painting. This was followed by the infamous "paint it dead". In the end, I painted over the entire background with white "fog". 

Cette "étude" a pris une vie propre à partir du milieu du tableau. Elle a été suivie par l'infâme " peinture morte ". A la fin, j'ai peint tout l'arrière-plan avec du "brouillard" blanc.

Ein etwas farbloseres "entsättigtes" Motiv, dass die Hitze und im Wortsinne "Eintönigkeit" des Ortes widerspiegeln soll.

A somewhat more colorless "desaturated" motif that is supposed to reflect the heat and, in the literal sense, "monotony" of the place.

Un motif un peu plus incolore "désaturé" censé refléter la chaleur et, au sens propre, la "monotonie" du lieu.

Why do I not know that there is such a fantastic bridge here in the nearby Harz Mountains at Braunlage? I definitely have to go there!

Pourquoi ne sais-je pas qu'il y a un pont aussi fantastique ici dans le Harz tout proche, à Braunlage ? Il faut absolument que j'y aille !

Blick aus dem Europäischen Culturzentrum Palazzo Mora, wo auf der Biennale wieder Kunstwerke ausgestellt werden. Wenn ich frech wäre, würde ich sagen, die Architektur und die Ausblicke lohnen sich mehr, als die darin ausgestellte Kunst.

Above the rooftops of Venice – View from the Palazzo Mora European Cultural Center, where artworks are once again on display at the Biennale. If I were cheeky, I'd say the architecture and views are more worthwhile than the art on display inside.

Au-dessus des toits de Venise - Vue depuis le Centre culturel européen Palazzo Mora, où des œuvres d'art seront à nouveau exposées lors de la Biennale. Si j'étais impertinente, je dirais que l'architecture et la vue valent plus que l'art qui y est exposé.

Am Mittwoch beim Maschseefest war es schon üppig warm. Da reichte die Geduld nur für eine schnelle Stimmungsskizze vom Nachbartisch.

On Wednesday at the Maschseefest it was already lusciously warm. I was only patient enough for a quick sketch of the mood shot from the table next to me.

Mercredi, à la Maschseefest, il faisait déjà très chaud. Je n'ai été assez patient que pour une esquisse rapide de la photo d'ambiance prise depuis la table à côté de moi.
