Today's design in hatching technique has already pleased me so well in black and white that I'll do without the coloring for now. Tomorrow there is the painting then maybe in color.

I have once again worked in b/w and noticed that the "gray" cartridge was still in the brush pen. So I went over it with the black pen in some places.

Ich dachte, eine amerikanische Straßenszenerie wäre dem Anlass angemessen. Noch während ich das Bild hier poste steht das Ergebnis der Midterm Wahlen in den USA noch nicht fest.
I thought an American street scene would be appropriate for the occasion. Even as I post the painting here, the result of the midterm elections in the U.S. is not yet determined.

It looks almost like a great metropolis of America. However, it is only the old papal palace in Avignon. Some sections are rebuilt under scaffolding and that looks almost like skyscrapers.
On dirait presque une grande métropole américaine. Pourtant, ce n'est que le vieux palais papal d'Avignon. Certaines parties sont reconstruites sous des échafaudages et cela ressemble presque à des gratte-ciel.

In unserem Frankreichurlaub haben wir wieder viel selber und mit Freude und Freunden gekocht. Das gemeinsame Kochen sowie das stetig megafrische Angebot auf dem riesigen täglichen Bauernmarkt in Velleron haben maßgeblich dazu beigetragen. Auch den Knoblauch mussten wir uns nicht verkneifen. Es folgen nun auch wieder in loser Folge vermehrt Acrylbilder, da die Zeit zum Sketchen draußen vor Ort demnächst wohl bald vorbei sein wird. Obwohl es gerade heute noch 21°C warm war!
During our vacation in France, we have enjoyed cooking a lot by ourselves and with friends again. The common cooking as well as the constantly mega-fresh offer on the huge daily farmer's market in Velleron have contributed significantly to this. Even the garlic we did not have to deny ourselves. Now more acrylic paintings will follow in loose intervals, since the time for sketching outside will soon be over. Even though it was 21°C warm today!
Pendant nos vacances en France, nous avons à nouveau beaucoup aimé cuisiner entre nous et avec des amis. La cuisine commune ainsi que l'offre constante de produits frais sur l'énorme marché fermier quotidien de Velleron y ont contribué de manière significative. Même l'ail, nous n'avons pas eu à nous en priver. Maintenant, d'autres peintures acryliques suivront à intervalles espacés, car le temps de faire des croquis à l'extérieur sera bientôt écoulé. Même s'il faisait 21°C aujourd'hui !

Ebenfalls direkt am Pariser Platz ist das Café K. Es war draußen noch so warm, dass ich auch noch im Dunkeln weitergezeichnet habe.
Café K lies directly on the Paris Square. It was still so warm outside that I continued drawing even in the dark.
