Das ganze könnte man sicher auch als Holz- oder Linolschnitt realisieren. Es wirkt schon sehr "retro" - aber mir macht es Spaß. Verbraucht nur sehr viel teure Tinte.

The whole piece could certainly also be realized as a woodcut or linocut. It looks very "retro" - but I enjoy it. It just uses a lot of expensive ink.

L'ensemble de la pièce pourrait certainement être réalisé sous forme de gravure sur bois ou de linogravure. Elle a l'air très "rétro" - mais je l'apprécie. Elle utilise simplement beaucoup d'encre coûteuse.

 Am Sonntag gab es noch eine Outdoor-Skizze. Da ich das Grau am Ende nicht so ideal fand, habe ich es kurz in der Bildbearbeitungssoftware noch eingefärbt. Nun kommt die Kälte noch besser rüber.

On Sunday there was another outdoor sketch. Since I didn't liked the grey at the end, I briefly colored it in the image editing software. Now the cold comes across even better.

Dimanche, j'ai fait un autre croquis d'extérieur. Comme je n'ai pas aimé le gris à la fin, je l'ai brièvement coloré dans le logiciel d'édition d'images. Maintenant, le froid ressort encore mieux.

Beim sonntäglichen Sketchertreffen waren die Temperaturen so leidlich erträglich. Diese zweite Zeichnung habe ich dann aber lieber von drinnen aus dem Bäckerei-Café gemacht.

The temperatures were reasonably bearable at the Sunday sketch meeting. But I preferred to do this second drawing from inside the bakery-café.

Lors de la rencontre dominicale des sketchers, les températures étaient à peu près supportables. J'ai préféré faire ce deuxième dessin depuis l'intérieur du café-boulangerie.

Der besondere Charme von alten Büchern lässt sich bildnerisch ganz gut darstellen, finde ich. Auch, wenn ich bei den Details so manche Dinge dazuerfinde.

 Als eines der wenigen Überbleibsel der EXPO 2000, welche in Hannover stattfand, waren wir gestern beim Expowal. Das Bauwerk dient als Kirche und Event-Location. Das Gebäude steht in der Chicago Lane. Nebenan waren wir danach beim großen schwedischen Möbelhaus mit den vier Buchstaben einkaufen.

As one of the few remnants of EXPO 2000, which took place in Hanover, we visited the Expowal yesterday. The building serves as a church and event location. The building is located in Chicago Lane. Next door we went shopping at the big Swedish furniture store with the four letters.

L'un des rares vestiges de l'EXPO 2000, qui s'est tenue à Hanovre, nous sommes allés hier à l'Expowal. La structure sert d'église et de lieu d'événements. Le bâtiment se trouve dans la Chicago Lane. A côté, nous avons ensuite fait du shopping dans le grand magasin de meubles suédois aux quatre lettres.

Ein Hamburgbesuch ohne den "Michel" zu erwähnen wäre schade. Sankt Michaelis ist angeblich die bedeutendste Barockkirche Norddeutschlands und wirklich sehr schön von unseren Kirchensteuern restauriert. Gar nicht hanseatisch und fein fand ich die Art und Weise, wie wir der Kirche verwiesen wurden, weil wir wohl in den Augen der Palastaufseherin so aussahen, dass wir an der Orgelandacht nicht teilhaben wollten. 

A visit to Hamburg without mentioning the "Michel" would be a shame. St. Michael's is supposedly the most important baroque church in northern Germany and has been beautifully restored with our church taxes. Not at all polite and refined was the way we were expelled from the church because we probably looked like we didn't want to take part in the organ service in the eyes of the palace custodian.

Il serait dommage de visiter Hambourg sans mentionner le "Michel". L'église Saint-Michel est censée être la plus importante église baroque du nord de l'Allemagne et a été magnifiquement restaurée grâce à nos impôts ecclésiastiques. La façon dont nous avons été expulsés de l'église n'était pas du tout polie et raffinée, car nous avions probablement l'air de ne pas vouloir participer au service de l'orgue aux yeux du gardien du palais.
