HGV'S

Erstmals in England, wusste ich nicht, was das sein soll, das da auf dem gelben Schild stand. »HGV?« »Hepatitis G Virus«? Mitten auf der Straße? Wohl eher »Heftig Große Vehikel«. Das traf es dann fast. Heißt also: »Heavy Goods Vehicle«. Na, bei uns heißt's ja auch »Laster«.

For the first time in England, I did not know what that yellow sign would mean. »Holy God Verses«? »Hepatitis G Virus«? On the middle of the road? My first reaction was to run away as quick as could!
