Mit diesem Bild eines kackenden Hundes vor der Kirche von Goult verabschiede ich mich von den Skizzen aus Frankreich, die ich direkt vor Ort gemacht habe. 

Morgen beginne ich mit den Konservenbildern: Ich habe während meines Urlaubs etwa 4.000 Fotos gemacht und bin sicher, dass ich das eine oder andere passende Design für ein kleines Acrylbild finden werde.

With this picture of a pooping dog in front of the church of Goult I say goodbye to the sketches of France, which I made directly on the spot. 

Tomorrow I will start with the canned pictures: I took about 4.000 photos during my holidays and I'm sure I'll find one or the other suitable design for a small acrylic picture.

Avec cette photo d'un chien qui fait caca devant l'église de Goult, je dis au revoir aux croquis de France que j'ai faits directement sur place. 

Demain, je commencerai par les photos en boîte : J'ai pris environ 4.000 photos pendant mes vacances et je suis sûr que je trouverai l'un ou l'autre modèle approprié pour une petite photo acrylique.

Frankreichs ländliche und kleinstädtische Architektur reizt mich immer zum Fotografieren und Skizzieren. Auch aus scheinbar unscheinbaren Blickwinkeln und Gemäuern lässt sich oft ein interessantes Bild malen. Ob es gelingt, hängt von der Tagesform des Malers und vom Betrachter ab.

France's rural and small-town architecture always attracts me to photograph and sketch. Even from seemingly inconspicuous angles it is often possible to paint an interesting picture. Whether it succeeds depends on the painter's daily form and the viewer.

L'architecture rurale et des petites villes de France m'attire toujours à photographier et à dessiner. Même sous des angles apparemment peu spectaculaires, il est souvent possible de brosser un tableau intéressant. Son succès dépend de la forme quotidienne du peintre et du spectateur.

Warmes Licht fällt auf die alten Hauswände der Stadt. Von drinnen zieht der Duft von Knoblauchgemüse und frisch geröstetem Brot durch die Gassen. Maurice sitzt indessen  auf der alten Bank vorm Haus und schmöckt an seiner Pfeife.

Evening Scent

Warm light falls on the old walls of the town. From inside the smell of garlic vegetables and freshly roasted bread runs through the alleys. Meanwhile Maurice sits on the old bench in front of the house and smokes his pipe.

La lumière chaude tombe sur les vieux murs des maisons de la ville. De l'intérieur, l'odeur des légumes à l'ail et du pain fraisse répand dans les rues. Entre-temps, Maurice s'assoit sur le vieux banc devant sa maison et fume sa pipe.

Ein Blick die Treppe herauf und ins Licht. In reduzierten Farben wird es nicht ganz so chaotisch, wie in Wirklichkeit. Am wichtigsten waren mir die Internet(?)-Verteilerboxen.

A look up the stairs and into the light. In reduced colours it is not quite as chaotic as in reality. Most important to me were the Internet(?) distribution boxes.

Un regard en haut des escaliers et vers la lumière. En couleurs réduites, il ne devient pas aussi chaotique qu'en réalité. Le plus important pour moi, ce sont les boîtes de distribution Internet(?).

Über Saint Remy, wo nahebei Van Gogh in der Klapse weilte wurde schon (aus diesem Grund) von anderen viel berichtet. Nun sind hier täglich Tausende Touristen unterwegs zum Markt oder auf den Spuren des Ohrabschneiders. 

About Saint Remy, where near Van Gogh stayed in the loony bin, there have been many reports (for this reason) from others. Now there are thousands of tourists daily on their way to the market or in the footsteps of the ear cutter. 

A propos de Saint Rémy, où Van Gogh a séjourné dans l'asile de fous, il y a eu de nombreux rapports (pour cette raison) d'autres. Aujourd'hui, des milliers de touristes se rendent chaque jour au marché ou marchent sur les traces du coupe-oreilles.
