Auf meiner regelmäßigen Joggingstrecke durch den Park passiere ich 25 Parkbanken. 

Zurück nach Hause geht es dann über die Treppe rechts.

Fürs Skizzieren habe ich mich mal auf jede Parkbank gesetzt und gecheckt, wie von dort der Ausblick ist. Als der längliche Park zwischen den Wohngebieten (vermutlich Anfang der sechziger Jahre) geplant wurde, standen dort sicher nur sehr kleine Bäume im Sichtfeld. Jetzt könnte man sich hier auch schon mal unmotiviert auf eine Bank im sehr dunklen Baumbestand setzen und aufs dunkelgrüne Blätterdickicht direkt vor seiner Nase starren.

Banking matters

For sketching purposes, I've put myself on each park bench (in German "Bank") and checked the view from this point. When the narrow park was planned (early sixties?) there were no such huge trees as nowadays. Meanwhile you can sit here on a bench in a very dark tree scenery with nothing to stare at dark green leaves right before your nose.

Als Freiberufler und vor allem als Daily Painter hat man ja auch am Wochenende und den Feiertagen seine Verpflichtungen. Einen Tag der Arbeit kann man dann mit schön viel der selbigen packen. Aber man darf sich auch mal guten Gewissens zum Beispiel mit dem kleinen Acrylgepäck in den nächstgelegenen Park zum Malen begeben. Hier der Blick von der erstbesten Bank aus.

I've grabbed my tiny acrylic gear and went to the nearest park for painting. Here's the view from the first bank in the park.

Hier ist das Erkennen des Ortes schon etwas leichter. Bisher bin ich jedoch nur einmal am Steinkreis in Entfernung vorbeigefahren. Stonehenge ist ja schon weit über 5000 Jahre alt, da kann es ruhig noch ein paar Jahre mehr oder weniger auf mich warten.

The recognition of this place is a bit easier. However, I had only once seen the stone circle from a distance. Stonehenge is already over 5000 years old. So it can still wait a few years more or less for me.

Eine flog nach Ost,

Eine nach West,

Eine flog über das Kuckucksnest.

Der Witz des Abzählreims besteht darin, dass Gänse in einem Schwarm und nicht in verschiedene Richtungen fliegen können und dass der Kuckuck kein Nest baut.

Wer findet die nach Westen fliegende Gans im Bild?

The joke of the nursery rhyme "one flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo's nest" is, that geese only can fly in a swarm and not in different directions and that the cuckoo does not build a nest.

Goof: Who finds the goose flying west in the painting?

Die Schwierigkeit beim Malen des Himmels besteht darin, dass dieser nicht grün wird. Was er aber tut, wenn man Gelb/Orange mit Blau mischt und die Farbschichten nicht zwischendurch trocknen lässt.

Sechs schöne und intensive Daily Painting Tage mit insgesamt 20 Teilnehmern gingen gestern zu Ende. Es ist immer wieder eine spannende Erfahrung so viele verschiedene Menschen, Ergebnisse und persönliche Malstile zu entdecken und zu fördern.

Six great and intense daily painting days with a total of 20 participants ended yesterday. It is always an exciting experience to discover and promote so many different people, results and explore personal painting styles.

Yesterday it was very windy on the Wildkogel Alm. Therefore, I have been sitting in the lee of the academy and made a few acrylic sketches. On Tuesday I'll find my way to the Daily Painting day course that takes place at boesner in Dusseldorf.
