Der Triumph Stag, auch aus den 70er Jahren. Ein offener Sportwagen, der von British Leyland gebaut wurde. Die "Kenner" sagen "British Elend" - na, passt ja zum Brexit.

The Triumph Stag, also from the 70s. An open sports car built by British Leyland. In German it sound like "British Elend", what tranlates to "British Misery". Which perfectly fits the Brexit.

Le Triumph Stag, également des années 70. Une voiture de sport ouverte construite par British Leyland. Les "connaisseurs" en allemand disent "British Elend" que veut dire "la misère britannique" - et bien, ça correspond au Brexit.

Ein laubfroschgrüner Dodge Challenger aus den frühen Siebziger Jahren. 

Diese Art Autos wird auch Pony Cars genannt (lange Schnauze - kurzes Heck).

A leaf frog green Dodge Challenger from the early seventies. 

These cars are also called pony cars (long hood - short deck).

Une grenouille verte Dodge Challenger du début des années 70. 

Ces types de voitures sont aussi appelés pony cars.

Nächstes Mal-Opfer ist ein Ford Mustang Coupe (2014). Nochmal zum Verständnis: Es geht bei den schnellen Acrylskizzen nicht um das exakte Vermessen oder eine super korrekte Darstellung, sondern um Bildaufbau, Bildwirkung und Farbkomposition. Die Stimmung in diesem Bild finde ich ganz schön, das werde ich dann demnächst etwas größer umsetzen.

FYI: The fast acrylic sketches are not about the exact measurement or a super correct representation, but about image structure, image effect and color composition. I think the mood in this picture is quite nice, I'll do it on a larger format soon.

La prochaine victime de la peinture est une Ford Mustang Coupé (2014). Encore une fois pour la compréhension : Les esquisses acryliques rapides ne sont pas des mesures exactes ou une représentation super correcte. Elles concernent la structure de l'image, son effet et la composition des couleurs. Je pense que l'ambiance sur cette scène est plutôt sympa, je vais bientôt mettre cela en place un peu plus large.

2698 Jaguar MK2

• Das fertige Modell auf 10 x10 cm / 3.9 x 3.9 inches • 

Der Jaguar Mark 2 war eine viertürige Oberklassen-Limousine, die ca. 1959 gebaut wurde. Mein Ansatz beim Malen war wieder: Schnell und einfach zu sein. Also insgesamt hat es wieder rund eine Viertelstunde gedauert, dieses Bild zu zimmern.

Darauf erkenne ich dann, ob es sich lohnen würde, das Ganze in einem größeren Format zu realisieren. Oder eben nicht.

The Jaguar Mark 2 was a four-door luxury sedan built around 1959. My approach to the painting was again: be fast and easy. So all in all it took about 15 minutes to timber this car. I now can easily recognize whether it would be worthwhile realizing the stuff in a larger format. Or not.

La Jaguar Mark 2 était une berline de luxe à quatre portes construite vers 1959. Mon approche de la peinture était de nouveau : être rapide et facile. Il a donc fallu encore un quart d'heure pour faire cette photo.

Ensuite, je me rends compte s'il vaudrait la peine de réaliser l'ensemble dans un format plus grand. Ou pas.

- Nach 2 Minuten: Schnell mit Aquarellstift die Skizze -

Bald gibt es wieder eine Vorführung bei boesner Hannover.
Thema: »Stark vereinfacht - einfach stark!« Hierfür übe ich gerade schnelle und einfache Motive und wie man sie schnell realisiert. Das erste hat insgesamt doch noch zu lange gedauert (ca. 16 Minuten) und der letzte Schritt (ganz oben) ist mir schon zu detailliert. Das vorletzte Bild ist die fast fertige Version nach 80% der Zeit. Merke: Irgendwo dazwischen liegt die Wahrheit zwischen Lockerheit und Totmalerei.

Topic: "Strongly simplified - simply strong! For this I am practicing fast and simple motifs and how to realize them quickly. The first one took way too long (about 16 minutes) and the last step (at the top) is too detailed for me. The penultimate picture is the almost finished version after 80% of the time. 
N.b.: The truth lies somewher in between looseness and painting it to death.

Thème : "Fortement simplifié - tout simplement fort !" Pour cela, je pratique des motifs rapides et simples et comment les réaliser rapidement. La première a pris trop de temps (environ 16 minutes) et la dernière étape (en haut) est déjà trop détaillée pour moi. L'avant-dernière image est la version presque terminée après 80% du temps. Note : Quelque part entre les deux se trouve la vérité entre relaxer et peindre le tableau à mort.

Longer, wider, large tail finns corresponded to the beauty symbol of the late 50s.

Une Dodge Coronet de 1959 : La couronne des années 50. 

L'ère de l'empennage, plus longues, plus larges etaient le symbole de beauté de la fin des années 50.

Es gibt ja ein paar Traumwagen, die man immer wieder gerne anschaut. 

Dieser schöne Roadster von ca. 1955. Damals für rund 18.000 DM zu haben. 

Inzwischen werden für gut erhaltene Exemplare schon mal 200.000 Euro gezahlt. Mein Bild davon ist dagegen HIER schon zum Schnäppchenpreis zu haben!

There are a few dream cars that you like to look at again and again. 

This beautiful roadster is from about 1955. 

At that time you could buy it for 18.000 DM.

In the meantime 200.000 Euro are paid for well preserved specimens.

My painting of it is HERE to have on the other hand already at the bargain price!

Il y a quelques voitures de rêve que j'aime regarder plus en plus. 

Ce beau roadster d'environ 1955. Tu pouvais l'acheter pour 18 000 DM à l'époque. Entre-temps, 200 000 euros sont payés pour des copies bien conservées. Ma peinture, d'autre part, est ICI pour un prix d'aubaine !

Am Wochenende endlich mal wieder Zeit und die Möglichkeit gehabt, einige große Formate anzugehen. Hier ein gelber Käfer in einer Großstadt. Entstanden durch viel Spielerei mit dem Palettenmesser, den Fingern, Schwamm und Pinsel.
