In einer dunklen Ecke des Schranks warten die Mundharmonikas auf eine Mund-zu-Mund-Beatmung. Leider bleibt beim täglichen Malen und Arbeiten sehr wenig Zeit dafür. Aber als Motiv sind sie schon einmal auf dem Maltisch gelandet.

In a dark corner of the cabinet the harmonicas wait for a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Unfortunately, the daily painting work takes most of the spare time. But hey, they already hijacked a place on the painting desk.

1276 The Blues Band

Gestern abend war ich auf dem Konzert der fabulösen Blues Band. Zum ersten Mal sah ich sie live im WDR Rockpalast 1980. Und mit genau diesem Programm tourt sie nun 35 Jahre später wieder herum. Es war ein eindrucksvolles schönes Konzert. 

Heute ist der Kurs "Menschen im Aquarell" der DAGGWS Regionalgruppe West. 

Habe die ganze Woche ja schon Menschen geübt...

Last night I was at the concert of the fabulous Blues Band. For the first time I saw them live at Rockpalast in 1980 (a TV Event). And 35 years after this is precisely the program of their actual tours around now. It was an impressive and awsome concert. 

Today is the workshop "People in Watercolor" by the DAGGWS Regional Group West. 

That's why I have practiced figurative painting the whole week long...

Irgendwann in der Mitte des vorigen Jahrtausends erfand Herr Bigbsy diesen Schwengel an der Gitarre, mit dem man die Tonhöhe um 1-2 Halbtöne variieren kann. Ich hatte das früher auch immer Schwengelgitarre genannt.

Some dark and lonesome day in the middle of the last millennium, Mr. Bigbsy invented this lever on the guitar. With the help of this thing you can vary the pitch by 1-2 semitones. I had previously always called this a »Shwengle-Guitar«.

Heute musste der Ausschnitt eines Saxophons dran glauben.
Abstrakt, aber wer kennt sich schon mit diesen tausenden
von Klappen, Deckeln, Griffen und Hähnen aus?

Today, it was turn for a saxophone cutout. 
Abstract, but who really knows about this thing with its thousands 
of flaps, lids, handles and valves?
