4433 Traum in der Provence

Ab heute heißt es "Inktober" - das heißt: Jeden Tag ein Thema in "Tusche / Tinte" zu bearbeiten. Mal sehen, wie weit ich das mitmache. Der erste Tag hat das Thema "Traum". Mein Traum wäre irgendwann einmal in der Provence ein schönes Ferienhaus zu haben. 

Starting today, it's called "Inktober" - that is: every day to work on a theme in ink. Let's see how far I go with it. The first day's theme is "Dream". My dream would be to have a beautiful vacation home in Provence  someday.

A partir d'aujourd'hui, c'est ce qu'on appelle "Inktober" - c'est-à-dire : travailler chaque jour sur un thème à l'encre. Voyons où j'en suis. Le thème du premier jour est "Rêve". Mon rêve serait d'avoir un jour une belle maison de vacances en Provence.

Heute war es mir dann schon eher nach einem warmen Tee. Gerne auch im Cafe Palais Royal in Paris - da war ich zwar noch nie, es sieht aber einladend aus und ist in der Nähe des Musée du Louvre.

Today I felt more like a warm tea. Gladly also in the Cafe Palais Royal in Paris - I've never been there, but it looks inviting and is near the Musée du Louvre.

Aujourd'hui, j'avais plutôt envie d'un thé chaud. J'irais volontiers au café Palais Royal à Paris - je n'y suis encore jamais allée, mais il a l'air accueillant et se trouve à proximité du musée du Louvre.

Der Titel "Nothing Stops Detroit" stand auf der Vorlage auf der dunklen Hauswand. Aus gestalterischen Gründen habe ich das allerdings weggelassen.

The title "Nothing Stops Detroit" was written on the dark house wall. For design reasons, however, I left that out.

Le titre "Nothing Stops Detroit" était écrit sur le mur sombre de la maison. Pour des raisons de design, cependant, je l'ai laissé de côté.

Ich habe den Truck ausnahmsweise mit Bleistift vorskizziert, damit er "richtig" wird. Beim Rest wurde wie immer einfach drauflosgezeichnet.

For once, I sketched the truck in pencil to get it "right". The rest was just drawn as if by magic, as usual.

Pour une fois, j'ai esquissé le camion au crayon pour qu'il soit "juste". Le reste a été dessiné comme par magie, comme d'habitude.

Habe ein langweiliges frei nutzbares Foto einer alten Tankstelle im Netz gefunden und dieses als Skizze umgesetzt. Eigentlich war anfangs nur der Pontiac ein Blickfang – in der Zeichnung ist er nur noch schmückendes Beiwerk.

Found a boring free-use photo of an old gas station on the net and turned it into a sketch. Actually, in the beginning only the Pontiac was an eye-catcher - in the drawing it is only decorative accessory.

J'ai trouvé une photo d'une ancienne station de gaz sur le net et je l'ai transformée en croquis. En fait, au début, seule la Pontiac attirait l'attention - dans le dessin, elle n'est plus qu'un accessoire décoratif.

Das kleine Dorf Speck (40 Einwohner) liegt im Müritz-Nationalpark. Bei unserem letzten Kurzurlaub im August haben wir dort eine kleine Wanderung zum Mühlensee unternommen.

The small village Speck (40a inhabitants) is located in the Mueritz National Park. During our last short vacation there in August, we took a short hike to the Mill Lake.

Le petit village de Speck (40 habitants) est situé dans le parc national de Mueritz. Lors de notre dernier court séjour là-bas en août, nous avons fait une petite randonnée jusqu'au lac du moulin.

4419 Schloss Herrenhausen

Auch das Schloss in Herrenhausen ist neuer als man ihm ansieht. Ursprünglich ein Barockbau aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, wurde es bei Luftangriffen 1943 komplett zerstört. 2011/2012 wurde das Schloss wie vor der Zerstörung im klassizistischen Stil wieder rekonstruiert. 2023 von mir skizziert ;)

The Schloss in Herrenhausen is also newer than you might think. Originally a baroque building from the 17th century, it was completely destroyed during air raids in 1943. In 2011/2012 the palace was reconstructed in the classical style as it was before the destruction. 2023 sketched  by me ;)

Le château de Herrenhausen est lui aussi plus récent qu'il n'y paraît. À l'origine, il s'agissait d'un bâtiment baroque du 17e siècle, mais il a été entièrement détruit lors des attaques aériennes de 1943. En 2011/2012, le château a été reconstruit dans le style classique, comme avant sa destruction. 2023 esquissé par mes soins.

Die schöne Kirche Sankt Nicolai steht im Nachbarstadtteil Bothfeld. Der Turm (im Hintergrund) ist aus dem Mittelalter - der Rest wurde um 1911 angebaut im neoromantischen Stil. 

The beautiful church of St. Nicolai is located in the neighborhood Bothfeld. The tower (in the background) is from the Middle Ages - the rest was added around 1911 in neo-romantic style.

La belle église de St. Nicolai se trouve dans le quartier de Bothfeld. La tour (à l'arrière-plan) date du Moyen Âge - le reste a été ajouté vers 1911 dans un style néo-roman.

Zurück in Hannover finde ich viele liebenswerte Ansichten, die man hier zeichnen kann. Eines meiner Lieblingsviertel ist die List, wo man u.a. schöne Gründerzeitgebäude findet.

Back in Hannover, I find many endearing views that can be drawn here. One of my favorite districts  Lisist, where you can find, among other things, beautiful Wilhelminian style buildings.

De retour à Hanovre, je trouve de nombreuses vues enchanteresses que l'on peut dessiner ici. L'un de mes quartiers préférés est la List, où l'on peut trouver, entre autres, de beaux bâtiments de style Wilhelminien.

Der großARTige Circus Roncalli gastiert wieder in Hannover. Am Sonntag habe ich mit den Urban Sketchers Hannover dort ein Treffen organisiert. (Danke an Burkhard fürs Kontakten!) Und einen Riesendanke an Herrn Te Kiefte vom Tourneebüro bei Roncalli, dass wir innerhalb des Zirkusgeländes mit unserer großen 45 Personen starken Truppe dort sketchen durften!

The great Circus Roncalli is back in Hannover. On Sunday I organized a meeting with the Urban Sketchers Hannover there. (Thanks to Burkhard for contacting!) And a huge thank you to Mr. Te Kiefte from the tour office at Roncalli, that we were allowed to sketch inside the circus area with our big 45 persons strong troop!

Le grand Circus Roncalli est de retour à Hanovre. Dimanche, j'ai organisé une rencontre avec les Urban Sketchers de Hanovre. (Merci à Burkhard pour le contact !) Et un grand merci à M. Te Kiefte de l'office de tourisme de Roncalli, qui nous a permis de faire des croquis à l'intérieur de l'espace du cirque avec notre grande troupe de 45 personnes !

Policeman's market - The French and the German Cathedral at the Gendarmenmarkt make a nice ensemble. You can only beat that with a deposit bottle collector, can't you?

On Sunday was the conclusion of the Berlin Urban Sketcher Germany meeting. I met again many old and new acquaintances and friends. And as always, sketching and talking shop together was the highlight. Thanks for the great organization to the #uskberlin2023 Orga-Team!

Was? Schon ist das Urban Sketcher Deutschlandtreffen vorüber - natürlich durfte in Berlin der obligatorische Blick auf das Reichstagsgebäude nicht fehlen.

What? The Urban Sketcher Germany meeting is already over - of course, the obligatory view of the Reichstag building was not to be missed in Berlin.

Quoi ? La rencontre Urban Sketcher Allemagne est déjà terminée - bien sûr, la vue obligatoire sur le bâtiment du Reichstag ne pouvait pas être manquée à Berlin.

Endlich in Berlin angekommen! Am Samstag war zu Beginn der Sketchwalk auf der Museumsinsel.

Finally arrived in Berlin! Saturday was the beginning of the sketchwalk on the Museum Island.

Enfin arrivé à Berlin ! Samedi, c'était le début de la promenade de croquis sur l'île des musées.

Noch in Potsdam wurde es regentechnisch etwas ungemütlich und als es anfing zu regnen, kolorierte ich die Zeichnung drinnen im Lokal.

Still in Potsdam, it got a little uncomfortable rain-wise and when it started to rain, I colored the drawing inside in the pub.

Toujours à Potsdam, il est devenu un peu inconfortable du point de vu de la pluie et quand il a commencé à pleuvoir, j'ai colorié le dessin à l'intérieur du pub.

Ich bin nun in Potsdam angekommen und war erstaunt, dass es dort ein Brandenburger Tor gibt. Schnelle Skizze zwischen zwei Regenschauern.

I have now arrived in Potsdam and was amazed that there is a Brandenburg Gate. (So not just in Berlin.) Quick sketch between two rain showers.

Je suis maintenant arrivé à Potsdam et j'ai été étonné qu'il y ait une porte de Brandebourg. (Donc pas seulement à Berlin.) Croquis rapide entre deux averses de pluie.

Im Hafen von Rechlin liegt dieses nette Boot vor Anker. Mit freundlichem Besitzer, der uns auch gleich ein paar Tipps für Potsdam mit auf den Weg gab.

In the harbor of Rechlin is this nice boat at anchor. With friendly owner, who also gave us a few tips for Potsdam on the way.

Ce joli bateau est ancré dans le port de Rechlin. Avec un propriétaire sympathique qui nous a donné quelques conseils pour Potsdam.

4400 Röbel/Müritz

Der Nachbarort an der Müritz heißt Röbel - dort fand ich die alten Bootshütten besonders malerisch. Das neue Appartementhaus dahinter habe ich jedoch eher als optische Belästigung empfunden und daher weggelassen.

The neighboring village on the Lake Müritz is called Röbel - where I thought the old boat huts were particularly picturesque. However, I found the new apartment building behind it more of a visual nuisance and therefore left it out.

Le village voisin sur le lac Müritz s'appelle Röbel - où j'ai trouvé les anciennes cabanes de bateaux particulièrement pittoresques. Cependant, j'ai trouvé que le nouvel immeuble d'habitation qui se trouve derrière était plutôt une nuisance visuelle et je l'ai donc laissé de côté.
