The title is a little game of words. Today, “Every Day in May” was about implementing the theme of “sweets”. By the way, "liegen lassen" means leaving something lying - which is exactly the opposite of picking it up!
Le titre est un petit jeu de mots. Aujourd'hui, « Every Day in May » était consacré à la mise en œuvre du thème des « sucreries ». Au fait, « liegen lassen » signifie laisser reposer quelque chose - ce qui est exactement le contraire de « Pick Up! » !

Countless Beetles, VW Bullis and other historic Volkswagens were once again on the road at the May Beetle Meeting in Hanover. A personal highlight was the Herbie Beetle. A reminder of the movies from my childhood in the 70s.
De nombreuses Beetle, VW Bulli et autres Volkswagen historiques étaient une fois de plus sur la route lors du May Beetle Meeting à Hanover. La Beetle d'Herbie a été le clou du spectacle. Un souvenir des films de mon enfance dans les années 70.

Next weekend I'm teaching my workshop “The loose line” for my art factory in Hanover. I realized that I haven't posted many quick examples lately. Here is one from the sketch meeting in Nuremberg at the beginning of April.

We set off on our bikes to Linden in beautiful spring weather. First the weekly market, then Café K. on Paris Square. Always nice here.

“In the middle of nowhere” means that I don't know where the photo was taken from which I transposed the motif. But it seems to be quite a remote place.
« Au milieu de nulle part » signifie que je ne sais pas où a été prise la photo à partir de laquelle j'ai transposé le motif. Mais il semble que ce soit un endroit assez éloigné.

Kaffeetrinkenderweise sitzt man an der Fensterfront des Cafés hier ganz gemütlich und kann das schöne Haus gegenüber sketchen.
Sitting comfortably at the window front of the café, you can sketch the beautiful house across the street.
Assis confortablement devant la fenêtre du café, on peut esquisser la belle maison en face.

When I'm out and about, I prefer to post with my little tablet with the fruit. Apparently there was a worm in it, but I was able to revive it with the help of a nice reseller. On the way back, I passed this historic bank building and my bank account is happy that I don't have to buy a new one.
Lorsque je suis en déplacement, je préfère poster avec ma petite tablette avec le fruit. Apparemment, il y avait un ver dedans, mais j'ai pu la faire revivre avec l'aide d'un sympathique revendeur. Sur le chemin du retour, je suis passé devant ce bâtiment bancaire historique et mon compte en banque est heureux de ne pas avoir à en acheter un nouveau.

Am 15. August 2011 begann meine Reise ins Land des Daily Paintings mit diesem Bild vom Dundas Square in Toronto / Kanada. Seitdem habe ich jeden Tag (ohne einen einzigen Tag Pause!) täglich ein kleines oder grüßes Werk ins Internet gestellt. »A Stiller A Day« hat sich und mich ständig weiterentwickelt. Am Anfang stand der Wunsch "besser malen zu können". Doch selbst Michelangelo soll auf dem Sterbebett gesagt haben "Ich lerne noch".
On August 15, 2011, my journey into the land of daily painting began with this painting of Dundas Square in Toronto, Canada. Since then, every day (without a single day off!) I have posted a small or large work on the Internet. “A Stiller A Day” has constantly evolved. It all started with the desire to “paint better”. But even Michelangelo is said to have said on his deathbed “I'm still learning”.
Le 15 août 2011, mon voyage dans le pays de la peinture quotidienne a commencé avec cette peinture de Dundas Square à Toronto, Canada. Depuis, chaque jour (sans un seul jour de congé !), j'ai posté une petite ou grande œuvre sur Internet. « A Stiller A Day » a évolué en permanence. Tout a commencé par le désir de « peindre mieux ». Mais même Michel-Ange a dit sur son lit de mort : «J'apprends encore».

Today I was at the pre-opening of the new studio of my painting colleague and friend Malte Wulf. The studio is in the former mill of Hämelschenburg Castle. It's well worth a visit. All the best for the opening!
Aujourd'hui, j'étais à l'inauguration du nouveau studio de mon collègue et ami Malte Wulf. Le studio se trouve dans l'ancien moulin du château de Hämelschenburg. Cela vaut vraiment la peine de le visiter. Tout le meilleur pour l'ouverture !

We reached the chapel of Santa Maria de l'Olivar in January of this year during one of our hikes on Majorca.
