Das Nachmittagsbild (halb fertig) bei boesner war meine Lieblingsbrücke in New York. Hatte ich ja auch schon oft geübt. Womit die Überleitung zur gestern angekündigten "Schönen Nachricht 2" gelungen wäre: 

Im letzten halben Jahr habe ich mein erstes eigenes Buch geschrieben und bearbeitet! Morgen könnt ihr mehr darüber erfahren!

Zurück in heimische Gefilde. Wahrscheinlich liegst daran, dass es so früh dunkel wird. Die Nachtansichten haben mich im Griff. Ich hätte die Kuppel eigentlich rot machen sollen wegen Nikolaus ;)

It is probably due to the fact that it darkens so early. The nightscapes still got me under control. Had to make the dome really red because of Saint Nicholas ;)

Nachts kann man auch in den Orten menschenleere Fotos machen, die tagsüber von Menschen überquellen. Bei einigen Orten macht das allerdings kein Unterschied. Sie sehen nachts dafür besser aus.

Pendant la nuit, vous pouvez également prendre des photos dans les villages, qui sont débordants de gens pendant la journée. Dans certains endroits, cela ne fait aucune différence. Ils paraissent meilleurs dans nuit.

1927 Alfama by Night

Nach den etlichen Bildern sonniger südfranzösischer Städte, fragte ich mich, wie das gleiche Hochformat-Konzept wohl in einer Nachtszene aussieht. Et voilà. 

Das Bild zeigt eine steile Straße in der Alfama, einem altehrwürdigen Viertel Lissabons.

After those many sunny daylight scenes of southern French cities, I wondered how the same format concept would look like in a night scene. Et voilà.

This shows a steepy hill in the Alfama, an old quarter of Lisbon.

Après nombreuses tableaux lumineuses de villes ensoillées dans le sud de la France, je me demandais comment le même concept vertical va ressembler dans une scène de nuit. Et voilà. Cela montre une colline escarpée dans l'Alfama, un vieux quartier de Lisbonne

Do such great expressions like the German "Doppelhaushälfte" (literally "Double-House-Half") also exist in French?

Mr. Google says it's "Semi-Detached House" in English. Correct?

(The french words »Maison Mitoyenne« sounds more classy.)
