Als Gegendarstellung zum gestrigen Bild gibt es heute viel Farbe. 
Gemalt habe ich auf eine schwarz grundierte Leinwand. 
Es gibt auch viele »Details«. Wobei man einmal genau hinschauen sollte, eigentlich erkennt man nichts Genaues.

Das erste Bild nach Foto aus dem Urlaub. Zum Beweis noch das Original (ausnahsweise), sonst glaubt mir keiner, dass die Leitungen dort in Wirklichkeit noch wirrer verlaufen.

Die Barfüßerstraße in Marburg trägt ihren Namen nach dem dort einstmals angesiedelten Franziskaner-Kloster der Barfüßermönche. Ob die bei den nun doch winterlichen Temperaturen dort abends noch schuhlos rumlaufen mochten? 

Eine weitere Studie zum Auftragsbild.

Barefoot

The Barefootstreet in Marburg takes its name from the Franciscan Monastery of the Dicalced Monks. If they would have wanted to walk around shoeless in these winterly temperatures?

X-mas time comes near. So I have time for a few commissions. Today I tried some sketches for a night-figure. Tomorrow I will continue with further compositions and color sketches.

Habe mich dann doch noch durchgerungen, das Nachtkatzenbild weiter zu malen.

Die Komposition ist für meine Verhältnisse ein wenig zu wild geraten. 

Allerdings gefallen mir ein paar Details ganz gut.

The composition has come a little too wild for me.

However, I like a few details quite well.

Die Kathedrale St. Anne ist von unserem Zimmer hier in Apt bestens sichtbar. Bei dieser Aussicht entschied ich mich zu meinem ersten Nachtbild aus dem Fenster vom Realmotiv. Auf dem Platz vor der Tür stand einst das römische Amphitheater von Apt.

The St. Anne's Cathedral is the perfect view from our room here in Apt. Therefore I chose it as my first daily painting night view from window. On the square in front of the door once was the Roman amphitheater of Apt.

Bob the builder

Irgendwann mitten beim Abendschmaus legte die Nachtbaustelle irgendwo in Downtown San Franciso los. Leider konnte man die Baustelle von unserem Restaurant aus vorher nicht sehen.
(»Frisco« sagt übrigens wirklich niemand, der dort lebt.)

Sometimes during the night meal a construction site laid off somewhere in downtown San Francisco. Too bad, we couldn't spot the construction before we chose the restaurant.
(Btw nobody says »Frisco« who lives there.)

Concerto

Allabendlich spielen die Orchester in den Caféhäusern und Restaurants am Piacetta San Marco in Venedig für die späten Besucher. Diesmal habe ich bewusst ein Rundbogenfenster gewählt.

Every evening the orchestras are playing in the coffee houses and restaurants on the Piacetta San Marco in Venice for the late visitors. This time it I've chosen the round-arched windows on purpose.
