Man sollte meinen, ich treibe mich abendlich nur noch in Kneipen und Cafés herum. Weit gefehlt. Ich erstelle gerade die neue Webseite der Kunstfabrik Hannover, die am 1. Oktober online gehen soll. Und morgen soll es in den Urlaub gehen. Das heißt keine Zeit fürs Malen, sondern Nachtschicht am Heimcomputer - so nannte man das früher.

You'd think I'd just hang out in pubs and cafes in the evening. Far from it. I'm just creating the new website of the Kunstfabrik Hannover, which goes online on October 1st. And tomorrow I am off to my holidays. That means no time for painting, but night shift at the home computer ;)

On pourrait penser que je flâne dans les pubs et les cafés le soir. Loin de là. Je suis en train de créer le nouveau site web de la Kunstfabrik Hannover, qui sera mis en ligne le 1er octobre. Et demain, je pars en vacances. Pas le temps de peindre, mais de travailler de nuit à l'ordinateur de la maison ;)

Frankreichs ländliche und kleinstädtische Architektur reizt mich immer zum Fotografieren und Skizzieren. Auch aus scheinbar unscheinbaren Blickwinkeln und Gemäuern lässt sich oft ein interessantes Bild malen. Ob es gelingt, hängt von der Tagesform des Malers und vom Betrachter ab.

France's rural and small-town architecture always attracts me to photograph and sketch. Even from seemingly inconspicuous angles it is often possible to paint an interesting picture. Whether it succeeds depends on the painter's daily form and the viewer.

L'architecture rurale et des petites villes de France m'attire toujours à photographier et à dessiner. Même sous des angles apparemment peu spectaculaires, il est souvent possible de brosser un tableau intéressant. Son succès dépend de la forme quotidienne du peintre et du spectateur.

Zum Symposiumabschluss gab es auch eine 3-stündige Ausstellung im Augsburger Rathaus. Währenddessen saßen viele Zeichner vor der Tür und skizzierten die Maximilianstraße rauf und runter.

Über das Symposium und meinen Workshop berichtete die Augsburger Allgemeine gestern.

At the end of the symposium there was also a 3-hour exhibition in the Augsburg Town Hall. Meanwhile many draughtsmen sat in front of the door and sketched Maximilianstraße up and down.

The local newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine reported about the symposium and my workshop yesterday.

A la fin du symposium, une exposition de 3 heures a également eu lieu à l'Hôtel de ville d'Augsbourg. Pendant ce temps, de nombreux dessinateurs se sont assis devant la porte et ont dessiné la Maximilianstraße de haut en bas.

L'Augsburger Allgemeine a rendu compte du symposium et de mon workshop d'hier.
