Wie so vieles im Leben, kommt es auf die Werte an. So auch beim Malen der Landschaft auf dem Weg nach Son Marroig an der Westküste Mallorcas. Da ich gestern wieder eindeutig zu dunkel geworden bin, habe ich heute erst einmal eine Grauwertstudie gemacht und danach erst die Farben angelegt. Manchmal muss man eben »back to the basics« gehen, damit etwas draus wird. Zum Vergleich kann man sich die Farbwert-Skizzen und das Original unten anschauen.

Values of Son Marroig
Like many things in life, values are important. Expecially when painting. Here I go again.
»Back to the basics«. Since yesterday's painting has become too dark, today I have started this landscape near Son Marroig (Majorca) with a gray value study. Then I applied the colors. So this one turned out good, I think. For comparison, I put the color value sketches and the original below.

Olivenbäume können bis zu 600 Jahre alt werden.
Spanien ist übrigens der größte Olivenölproduzent der Welt.
