Aujourd'hui, lundi des roses, de grandes parties du pays sont à nouveau en état d'urgence. Amusez-vous bien et recevez les salutations de la diaspora de Hanovre. Ces types de masques ont plutôt leur origine dans le sud de l'Allemagne.

Catching Fish

Am Mittwoch war ich mit den Mittwochssketchies im Niedersächsischen Landtag. Nach dem Umbau (von 2014-2017) war dies mein erster richtiger Besuch hier. Alles ist sehr schön hell und freundlich geworden. Weniger muffig und kistenartig, als es der Nachkriegsbau war. Es gab eine sehr nette und informative zudem kostenfreie Führung, die uns durch lange Gänge unter der Stadt u. a. in den Interimsplenarsaal gebracht hat. Die Führung kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Sie findet an diversen Terminen im Jahr mittwochs statt.
Bild oben: Man sieht deutlich die graue Eminenz im Hintergrund - der Hausmeister ist der mächtigste Mann im Gebäude, denn eigentlich entscheidet nur er, wer in den Landtag reinkommt (oh weh, ein schlechter Kalauer).
Bild unten: Bitte fragt mich nicht, was der Kopf bedeuten soll - aber es rollen ja ständig Köpfe in der Politik ...

Schöne Holzskulpturen aus etwa 1430 -1440 waren ebenfalls in der Sonderausstellung des Landesmuseums zu sehen. Besonders schön fand ich den Titel »Törichte Jungfrau«. Kopfkino.

Feeble Virgin

Beautiful wooden sculptures were also on display in the special exhibition of the Landesmuseum. I found the title "Feeble Virgin" particularly beautiful. Head Cinema.

Vierge faible

De magnifiques sculptures en bois ont également été exposées dans le cadre de l'exposition spéciale du Landesmuseum. J'ai trouvé le titre "Vierge faible" particulièrement beau. Cinéma pour la tête.

Irgendwie ein komischer Name: "Stiebel Eltron". Die Werbung hierfür findet sich am Kröpcke in Hannover. Doch hatten auch wir im Schrebergarten eine "Eltronette" an der Wand. Der Erfinder des Durchlauferhitzers sozusagen. Und Ende der Sechziger Jahre machte Charles Wilp das Dingen sogar werbetauglich. Ich erinnere mich noch immer an den erotisch gehauchten Spruch "Immer heißes Wasser".

What a funny name: "Stiebel Eltron". The advertisement for this can be found at the Kröpcke in Hannover. But we also had an "Eltronette" on the wall in our allotment garden. The inventor of the instantaneous water heater... At the end of the sixties Charles Wilp even made things suitable for advertising. I still remember the erotically tinged saying "Always hot water".

Habe diesmal versucht, das ganze Bild mit 100 Pinselstrichen zu malen. 

Okay es hat nicht funktioniert. Aber arg viel mehr waren es nicht (ca. 1.000 lol).

This time I tried to paint the whole picture with 100 brushstrokes.

Dumm gelaufen: Am Schluss noch einmal mit dem Mallappen driekt auf dem Bild rumgesaut. Manchmal gibt's halt was aufs Näschen.

Shit happens: In the end, messed the whole thing up with the painting rag right on the painting. Sometimes there's a slap on the nose.

Les merdes arrivent : A la fin, il a tout gâché avec le chiffon à peinture, juste sur le tableau. Parfois, il y a une gifle sur le nez.

After a visit to the dismissal ceremony of this year's Bachelor and Master students at the Faculty of Architecture, we went to the Spätzle House. Super nice staff, gourmet tip and nice ambience.

Après avoir assisté à la cérémonie de licenciement des étudiants en licence et en master de la faculté d'architecture, nous nous sommes rendus à la maison Spätzle. Un personnel super sympa, un conseil gourmand et une ambiance agréable.

Ich habe zum Geburtstag ein Buch über den amerikanischen Maler Edward Hopper bekommen. Eines seiner bekanntesten Bilder ist das einer Mobil Tankstelle. 

Diese roten Zapfsäulen haben also auch Hopper begeistert.

For my birthday I got a book about the American painter Edward Hopper. One of his most famous paintings is that of a mobile gas station. 

So these red gas pumps also inspired Hopper.

Pour mon anniversaire, j'ai reçu un livre sur le peintre américain Edward Hopper. L'un de ses tableaux les plus célèbres est celui d'une station-service mobile. 

Ces pompes à essence rouges ont donc également inspiré Hopper.

Yesterday I drew the exhibition of Eva Kot'átková in the Kestner Gesellschaft. A saying from the many accompanying posters is: "Through the encounter with differences, meaning emerges".
