Der erste Tag des Workshops verlief überraschend und sehr gastfreundlich u.a. im Koptischen Kloster Brenkhausen mit Begrüßung und Betreuung von Bischof Damian.

The first day of the workshop was surprising and very hospitable, among other places, in the Coptic Monastery of Brenkhausen, with the welcome and care of Bishop Damian.

La première journée de séminaire s'est déroulée de manière surprenante et très hospitalière, entre autres lieux, au monastère copte de Brenkhausen, avec l'accueil et les soins de Mgr Damian.

Am Freitag beginnt mein Workshop auf den Spuren der wunderbaren Klöster rund um die Burg Herstelle. „Auf dem Weg“ (hüstel) ein paar Landschaftsskizzen, wie sie nicht nur in Frankreich, sondern auch hier im schönen Weserbergland entstanden sein könnten.

On Friday my workshop on the trail of the wonderful monasteries around the castle Herstelle will start. "On the way" (cough) a few landscape sketches, as they could have been created not only in France, but also here in the beautiful landscape of the Weserbergland.

Vendredi, je commence mon séminaire sur les traces des merveilleux monastères qui entourent le château de Herstelle. "Sur le chemin" (toussa) quelques esquisses de paysage, comme elles auraient pu être réalisées non seulement en France, mais aussi ici, dans la belle région du Weserbergland.

Am Wochenende geht es auf Kloster-Skizzen-Tour durch 3 Bundesländer. Organisiert von der befreundeten Akademie Burg Herstelle. Ich muss also nochmal fleißig vorab üben ;) Es könnten sogar noch Plätze frei sein (?) Ansicht: Kloster Bursfelde im Landkreis Göttingen (Nds.)

This weekend it will be my monastery sketch tour through 3 provinces. Organized by the friendly academy castle Herstelle. So I have to practice beforehand ;) There might even still be some places left (?)

Auch dieses Jahr haben wir in der Bar de la Fontaine in Langnes sehr nett gesessen. Diesmal ging es am Nebentisch nicht umrussische Kriegstaktiken, sondern um Immobilien und unzuverlässige Bauunternehmen.

Also this year we had a very nice time at the Bar de la Fontaine in Lagnes. This time, the conversation at the next table was not about Russian war tactics, but about real estate and unreliable construction companies.

Cette année encore, nous avons passé un moment très agréable au Bar de la Fontaine à Lagnes. Cette fois, la conversation à la table voisine ne portait pas sur les tactiques de guerre russes, mais sur l'immobilier et les entreprises de construction peu fiables.

Nachdem die Katzen verstaut waren kam ein Mitarbeiter des Bürgermeisteramtes und nannte uns einen sonnigen Platz etwas oberhalb, von dem aus diese zweite Skizze entstand.

After the cats were stowed away, an employee of the mayor's office came and told us about a sunny spot a bit above, from which this second sketch was made.

Après avoir rangé les chats, un employé de la mairie est venu nous parler d'un endroit ensoleillé un peu plus haut, d'où a été réalisée cette deuxième esquisse.

Beim monatlichen Sketchertreffen am Maschsee entstand bei sommerlichen Temperaturen dieses stimmungsvolle Uferbild vom Biergarten aus gezeichnet in Begleitung einer warmen Rhabarberschorle.

At the monthly sketchers' meeting at the Maschsee, this atmospheric waterfront picture was drawn from the beer garden in summer temperatures, accompanied by a warm rhubarb spritzer.

Lors de la réunion mensuelle des sketchers au lac Maschsee, ce dessin d'ambiance sur la rive a été réalisé depuis le jardin de la brasserie, accompagné d'un spritz chaud à la rhubarbe, par des températures estivales.

Pünktlich zur Abreise gab es ein kurzes Gewitter im schönen Ort Tourrettes-sur-Loup.

Just in time for departure, there was a short thunderstorm in the beautiful village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
