Das Wetter ist eigentlich prima - wenn man Hitze mag. Doch bei fast 40°C ist das Malen en plein air (also draußen unter freiem Himmel) eher schwierig. Daher eine Übung, die drinnnen entstanden ist.

The weather is actually great - if you like heat. But at almost 104°F, painting en plein air (i.e. outside in the open air) is rather difficult. Hence an exercise that was created indoors.

En fait, le temps est magnifique - si vous aimez la chaleur. Mais à près de 40°C, peindre en plein air est plutôt difficile. D'où un exercice qui a été créé à l'intérieur.

Noch vom vorangegangenen Wochenende habe ich die Skizze vom Hafenmeisterhaus in Holzminden. Ich finde, der Bildaufbau ist mir ganz gut gelungen.

I still have the sketch of the harbor master's house in Holzminden from the previous weekend. I think the composition of the picture turned out quite well.

J'ai encore l'esquisse de la maison du maître du port à Holzminden du week-end précédent. Je pense que la composition de l'image est assez bonne.

Das Griechenland im Europapark gefällt mir besonders gut. Bei 35°C im Schatten auch mit authentischen Temperaturen.

I particularly like Greece at Europapark. At 95°F in the shade, it also has authentic temperatures.

La Grèce à Europapark me plaît particulièrement. Avec 35°C à l'ombre, il y a aussi des températures authentiques.

"Fliegende" Luftschiffe und Kinderwagen schiebende Mütter erwarteten uns beim Besuch im Europapark Rust.

"Flying" airships and mothers pushing baby carriages awaited us during our visit to Europapark Rust.

Des dirigeables "volants" et des mères poussant des voitures d'enfants nous attendaient lors de notre visite à Europapark Rust.

5067 Die Geigerin

Beim Chillen am Bächle (offene kleine schmale Kanäle mit Frischwasser, welche durch Freiburgs Altstadt führen). Die Geigerin spielte Stücke von Mozart, Vivaldi, Strauß und Co. Genauso lange, wie ich für meine Skizze brauchte. Chilling out by the Bächle (small open canals with fresh water that run through Freiburg's old town). The violinist played pieces by Mozart, Vivaldi, Strauss and others for just as long as it took me to make my sketch. En se détendant au bord du Bächle (petits canaux ouverts et étroits avec de l'eau fraîche qui traversent la vieille ville de Fribourg). La violoniste a joué des morceaux de Mozart, Vivaldi, Strauss et autres. Le temps qu'il m'a fallu pour réaliser mon esquisse.

Weiter ging es nach Freiburg zum Familienfest. Am Martinstor fand ich einen schönen Platz zum Skizzieren. Das Bild habe ich vom Fleck weg an ein nettes Pärchen aus Kanada verkauft :)

I continued on to Freiburg for the family get-together. I found a nice place to sketch at the Martinstor. I sold the painting on the spot to a nice couple from Canada :)

J'ai continué à Fribourg pour la réunion de famille. J'ai trouvé un endroit agréable pour dessiner au Martinstor. J'ai vendu la peinture sur le champ à un couple sympa du Canada :)
