Hundreds of people once again attended the Urban Sketchers' Germany meeting, sketching visibly throughout the city. Of course, the event continued into the evening.

After Poznan, the next big sketching meetup is happening here in Stuttgart. This weekend, people from all over Germany are gathering here to draw together.

I'm slowly starting to like the format again. It's veeeery long, but it forces you to think about composition.

We are in the Kafenion on Clover Street in the Clover Field district. Delicious coffee (what else?) and a rather boring view towards the Horse Tower. But as a portrait-format sketch, I think it's quite okay.
Nous sommes au Kafenion, dans la Kleestraße, dans le quartier de Kleefeld. Un délicieux café (quoi d'autre ?) et une vue plutôt ennuyeuse sur la Pferdeturm. Mais en tant que croquis au format portrait, je trouve ça tout à fait correct.

Am Sonntag ging's mal wieder in den Zoo Hannover. Dort in der "Yukon-Abteilung" in einer Nebenstraße war es am ruhigsten zum Zeichnen.
On Sunday, we went to Hanover Zoo again. The “Yukon section” in a side street was the quietest place to draw.
Dimanche, nous sommes retournés au zoo de Hanovre. C'est dans la « section Yukon », dans une rue secondaire, que l'endroit était le plus calme pour dessiner.

Ich würde ja gerne behaupten, ich wüsste es noch. Aber auf dem Marktplatz von Posen stehen drei oder mehr Brunnen-Statuen. War es Mars, Apollo oder Neptun, den ich hier abends skizzierte? Ich freue mich über sachdienliche Hinweise.
I would love to say that I still remember, but there are three or more fountain statues in Poznan's market square. Was it Mars, Apollo, or Neptune that I sketched here in the evening? I would appreciate any relevant information.

Mal ehrlich: So viele alte Citroën Kastenwagen kann es gar nicht geben, wie man sie zu sehen glaubt. Wahrshceinlich sind das extra Nachbauten, um dort Cafés oder andere Gastros einzubauen. Aber nett zu zeichnen sind sie doch.
Let's be honest: there can't be as many old Citroën vans as you think you see. They're probably specially built replicas to house cafés or other restaurants. But they are nice to draw.
Soyons honnêtes : il ne peut pas y avoir autant de vieux fourgons Citroën que vous croyez en voir. Ce sont probablement des répliques spécialement construites pour accueillir des cafés ou d'autres restaurants. Mais elles sont agréables à dessiner.

The Greek Orthodox and Serbian Orthodox churches are located together in the industrial park in the List district of Hanover. On Sunday, there was a celebration there, and this sketch was created amid the smoke from the charcoal grill and the sounds of Greek solo entertainers.
Les églises orthodoxes grecque et serbe sont situées ensemble dans la zone industrielle du quartier List de Hanovre. Dimanche, une fête y était organisée, et ce croquis a été réalisé dans la fumée du barbecue au charbon de bois et au son des musiciens grecs.

Clever corner building - Back in Hanover, I find the “wonky buildings” even easier to spot. Here, for example, in the List district (Germ.: Listig = Engl.: clever).

The last picture from Poznan was this street scene, which could also be in Paris. I colored it in the cramped train compartment.

Manche Motive sind einfach zu eindrucksvoll, um sie nicht zu zeichnen. Die Stary Browar war eine alte Brauerei und beherbergt nun ein riesiges Einkaufszentrum in Posen.
Some motifs are simply too impressive not to draw. Stary Browar was an old brewery and now houses a huge shopping center in Poznan.
Certains motifs sont tout simplement trop impressionnants pour ne pas être dessinés. Stary Browar était une ancienne brasserie qui abrite aujourd'hui un immense centre commercial à Poznan.
