Mit diesem 250igsten Daily Painting seit dem 15. August 2011 geht es zurück zu den Wurzeln der Aktion. Mein Urlaub in Kanada war schließlich einer der wichtigsten Auslöser hierzu. Zur Feier dieser »historischen« Zahl wurde das heutige Bild verlost!

Die Geduld und Ausdauer hat sich gelohnt und schon kommen die tausendfachen Grüntöne zurück in die Natur. Und im Sommer kommen wir bald hoffentlich auch zurück zum Urlauben nach Schweden.

Steinhuder Meer

Der gestrige Karfreitag begann in der Tat recht frostig und daher frustig (gerade mal 5°C !). Am Mittag konnten wir dann aber in der Sonne sitzen und haben sogar etwas Rotbäckchen bekommen.

Yesterday's Good Friday really started quite chilly and downbeating (only 40° Fahrenheit !). But at noon, we sat in the sun and got slightly rosy cheeks.

Putzige Möwen, die noch ein wenig lernen müssen, wie man sich elegant am Strand entlang bewegt. Endlich mal wieder ein Acrylbild, auch wenn Aquarell ja gut zum momentanen maritimen Themenkreis passt.

Das heutige Daily Painting ist ein wenig improvisiert, da ich gestern unterwegs war. Somit konnte ich nur auf einfaches Studienpapier malen. Doch wenigstens die Farben sind professioneller Provenienz und die wortspielerische englische Übersetzung von "Stegreif" (off the bat) ist gelungen.

Today's daily painting is improvised a little, because I was traveling yesterday. The only paper within reach was of poor quality. So it was a special challenge. At least the watercolors are of professional provenance.

Cornwall

Der herrliche Küstenwanderweg kann Anfang April noch sehr stürmisch und kalt sein. Das stetige Auf und Ab ist kräftezehrend. Schön, wenn es so sonnig ist, wie bei unserer Wanderung vor zehn Jahren.

The magnificent coastal path can be very stormy and cold in April. The steadlily up and down of the path is exhausting. Great, if it is so sunny, as our hike has been ten years ago.
