Heute war ich an der Goseriede in Hannovers Innenstadt. Der Blick zum Anzeiger Hochhaus ist aus dem Schatten der Bäume des alten Friedhofs aus recht schön.

Today I painted near the Goseriede in the centre of Hanover. The view is quite nice while standing in the shadow of the trees on the old cemetery.

Einige Mitglieder der Strichzähler-Truppe - Some members of the stroke-counting-crew 

Schade, schon der letzte Tag meines Workshops in der Kunstfabrik Hannover. Heute traute ich mich an eine »100 Striche-Demo«: Ich durfte maximal 100 einzelne Striche an diesem Weinreben-Bild machen. Mist! Die Teilnehmer haben natürlich akribisch jeden kleinsten Strich mitgezählt. Trotzdem eine nette und aufmerksame Truppe, die sich dort zusammenfand. Morgen folgt noch ein kleines Resümee mit ein paar Bildern.

Grape Leaf demo

Already the last day of my workshops in the ArtFfactory Hanover. Today I showed the »100 strokes demo«: I was allowed to make a maximum of 100 individual strokes on this vine-image.  Damn! My fellow participants meticulously counted every little stroke. A nice and attentive group working together under my command (hah!). Tomorrow follows a small summary with a few pictures. Hope you all had a save trip home.

Als Demo malte ich eine schnelle Landschaft mit Erläuterungen zu Farben mischen und Komposition. Ich nutze nur die drei Grundfarben (blau rot und gelb) plus weiß.

Yesterday, the second day of the workshop.

As a demo I painted a landscape with quick explanations how I mix colors and composition. I only use the three primary colors (blue red and yellow) plus white.

Gestern gab es auf dem Ballhofplatz ein schönes Jazzkonzert mit dem Anja Ritterbusch Quartett. Habe in der Sonne gesessen und gelauscht und (eine andere Ecke) skizziert. Summer in the City.

Er so: »Och nöö, das kann der Typ dann doch alles auf seinem Daily Painting weglassen.«

– Nun, denn...

She-Girl: »Hey, You wanted to clean up the backyard since ages!«

He-Man: »Oh no-oh, today it's too hot to move!«

She: »Well, then at least get rid of the old rubble out of the driveway.«

He: »Oh noo-oh, that all can be arranged by this daily painting guy in his painting"

– Well then ...

Heute sprach mich dieses Detail des Grand Hotels von Flekkefjord in meinem »Mal-Archiv« besonders an. Starke Kontraste, aber wenig Farbe. Wie es halt bei einem sehr sonnigen Tag an einem weißen Haus auftritt.
Ich habe das Hotel im Aug. 2013 direkt "vor Ort" gezeichnet  LINK HIER

Strong contrasts and little color. Like it happens to be on a very sunny day on a white house. I sketches this building in Aug. 2013 directly "on site" LINK HERE

Skizze Tuschestift

Gestern begann das diesjährige Maschseefest. Schon wirklich schon wieder ein Jahr vergangen? Zur Eröffnung gab es Regen und viel Wind, aber auch ein wenig Sonne für uns und die Stelzenläufer, die sich als Trommel,Bass und Akkordeon verkleidet hatten.

Momentan leider Probleme mit der Telekom. Router kaputt? Schon mal Entschuldigung, falls es mit den kommenden Posts nicht klappen sollte...

Stilts Musicians

Yesterday started the Maschsee Festival. Wow, it's really been a year since the last time? At the opening there was wind and rain and some sun for the stilts walkers. They were disguised as drum, bass and accordion. 

Some strange thing going on with my internet connection. Router down... Sorry for any inconvenience with coming posts.

Einfach die alten Karren weiterpflegen und fit halten. 
Hier die besonders schönen Rücklichter eines Ford Mustangs von ca. 1968.

Also a kind of scrap metal recycling. 
Simply continue to maintain the old clunkers and keep them fit. 
Here the most beautiful taillights of a Ford Mustang from about 1968.

»Die alte Pumpe«, stöhnt so mancher bei den Wetterwechseln hierzulande.
Hier ist aber eine alte französische Benzinpumpe gemeint.

»The old pump« some are grunting, considering the permanent weather changes in Germany. But here an old French petrol pump is meant.

Viele Bäume in Hannover mussten Federn lassen, nachdem der Sturm zum Sonntag sie arg beutelte. Hier der Blick vom Landesmuseum zu Hannovers Neuem Rathaus. 

Nightstorm

Many trees in Hannover had to take a hammering after the storm on Saturday night shook them up badly. Here the view from the National Museum to Hanover's New Town Hall.

1438 Ford Van

Als alter Veteran hat dieser Ford Van sicher schon wahnsinnig viel transportiert. Auch wenn er ein wenig ramponiert aussieht, ist das ein komplett im »Shabby Chic« restauriertes Modell, wenn man das so nennt bei Oldtimerfans.

As an old veteran, this Ford Van certainly has certainly carried pretty much stuff. Although it looks completely torn down, that is a completely restored model. Do classic car fans also call this »shabby chic«?

Gestern auf dem Parkhausdeck gechillt und gemalt. In umgekehrter Reihenfolge natürlich. Dort gibt es eine Open Air Restauration und von dort sieht man schon wieder die Marktkirche. Für S. habe ich das mal computertechnisch "interessanter" als die reinen s/w Zeichnungen gemacht. Gosch ist diese andere Szene Kneipe (gähn) wo's nicht mal Bedienung draußen gibt.

Yesterday we were chilling on the roof of a parking garage and painted a bit. In reverse order of course. There is an open-air catering and from there you can see the Market Church (again). For S. I did this computed task to make it "more interesting" than the pure b/w drawings. Gosch is this other scene location (yawny) with self-service.
