Heute haben wir eine schöne Gabriele Münter Ausstellung bei ahlers pro arte gesehen. Das mir bis dahin unbekannte druckgrafische Werk hat mich jedoch mehr angesprochen als ihre farbigen Ölbilder. Darum gibt es heute ein etwas grafischeres Werk einer Seitengasse von Bergen / Norwegen.

Nach dem Gouache-Experiment packte mich der Ehrgeiz, es mal wieder mit Ölmalerei zu versuchen. Als Motiv diente dieses Naturbild eines Felsenhaufens an einem norwegischen Fjord.

Heute sprach mich dieses Detail des Grand Hotels von Flekkefjord in meinem »Mal-Archiv« besonders an. Starke Kontraste, aber wenig Farbe. Wie es halt bei einem sehr sonnigen Tag an einem weißen Haus auftritt.

0909 Zwei zum Preis von Einem

Heute habe ich endlich ein paar alte unverkaufte Daily Paintings rausgesucht, die ich gerne übermalen wollte. Das erste hiervon ist das Bild #0145 »Drei Wanderer«. Darüber nun das »Zwei-Zitronen-mit-Messer-Stillleben«. Ich nehme gerne gefundene, also nicht inszenierte Stillleben als Vorlage. Dieses fand ich durch ein Fenster eines Hauses im Freilichtmuseum von Gamle Bergen.

Two for the Price of One 

Today I finally  picked out a couple of unsold daily paintings that I wanted to paint over. The first of this is #0145 »Three Hikers«. It turned into »Two-Lemons-with-Knife-Still-Life«. I like to take real found still lifes (so not staged) as inspiration. This one, I found through a window of a house in the Open Air Museum of Gamle Bergen.

Unter dem Namen Carolyn Keene werden schon seit den neunzehndreißiger Jahren die Abenteuer von Nancy Drew von unterschiedlichen Autoren veröffentlicht. Einige alte Exemplare dieser Jugendbücher fand ich in einem »Trödelshop für Afrika« im norwegischen Langesund. In den USA ist Nancy angeblich Kult.

Since the nineteen thirties Nancy Drew's adventures are published under the name Carolyn Keene by different authors. I found some really old books in a »Junk Shop for Africa" in Langesund in Norway. In the U.S., Nancy seems to be cult.

Es spielt in Bergen. 
Und dort habe ich wohl die grüne Tür 2013 gefunden. 
Keine Angst, morgen folgt keine andersfarbige Tür.
