Between us, the TV cartoon series with these moonfaces causes  physical discomfort in me, just at zapping by. Quite the opposite, when I think of the park and the café of the same name in San Francisco. Distinctly, this belongs to my personal list of »1.000 things you should have painted«.

Es ist ja blöd, das heutige Daily Painting Winnetou III zu nennen. Wo sind den Winnetou I und II? Darauf kann ich nichts entgegnen. Vielleicht hat die ja jemand im Bücherschrank.

It's kinda stupid, to call this daily painting Winnetou III. Where are Winnetou I and II? Well talk is cheap. Maybe someone has it on the bookshelf.

Im Hintergrund zeichnet sich übrigens San Francisos Coit Tower ab. Besonders gelungen finde ich die leuchtende Straße am Horizont.

Go

ist ein asiatisches Brettspiel, was man in San Franciscos Chinatown gerne mal unter einem schattigen Baum spielt. 
Es ist ein »Umzingelungsspiel«, was man ja auch deutlich auf dem Bild sieht.


Go is an Asian board game which is played often in San Francisco's Chinatown under a shady tree. It is an "encircling game" what you can easily spot in my painting.

Nach dem Swing kommt der Rock. Heute experimentiere ich zur Abwechslung mal mit Spachtel, Pappe (als Pinsel) und Fingermalerei.

Dieses Bild ist Teil der Spendenaktion.
Auch die nächsten beiden Tage bleibe ich den Orangetönen treu. Heute versuche es »mit schnellem Strich« und versuche mich dabei an geschwungenen Erosionsschichten. Swing Musik passte beim Malen gut dazu.

The next two days I stay loyal to the orange tones. Today I try to paint sweeping erosion layers. Swing music fits in well doing this painting.

Schulbus

Unvergleichlich romantisch und abgelegen liegt der Devils Garden Campingplatz im Arches National Park. Von hier führen traumhafte Wanderwege in die umliegende Pampa. Einige Eindrücke hiervon habe ich ja bereits in den letzten Tagen mehrfach gemalt. Es ist immens wichtig, bei den Wanderungen genug Flüssigkeit mitzuführen, sonst geht es einem wie Peter. »Here lies Peter, he drunk only one liter« ist inzwischen auch bei uns ein geflügeltes Wort.

Schoolbus
Incomparably romantic and secluded lies the campground Devils Garden in the Arches National Park. From here, stunning hiking trails lead into the surrounding prairie. Several impressions I have already painted in the recent days. It is immensely important for the hiker to carry enough liquid. Otherwise you'll end up like Peter: »Here lies Peter, he drunk only one liter.«

Vulkanisch erhitzte Quellen speisen mit kalk- und mineralhaltigem Wasser die sich stetig verändernden Sintertrerrassen.

Dr. House

Ein wenig windschief und verwegen. Mit sehr eigenem Charme und Charakter. Mal bedrohlich, aber auch genial. Dieses »House« steht stets am Abgrund. Ob es wohl von den blühenden Rosen errettet werden kann? 
Das Motiv des heutigen Daily Paintings ist das Film-Wohnhaus eines gewissen Norman B. (Nur für den Fall, dass es niemand gemerkt hat.)

A little askew and daring. With its very own charm and character. Also threatening as awesome. This »House« is permanently on the edge. Whether it can be well saved by the blooming roses?

Auch heute sehe ich den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht. Allerdings ist dies ein angelegter Wald in San Franciscos Golden Gate Park. (Seufz) ...es bleibt einfach eine schöne Stadt.

Even today I cannot see the forest for the trees. However, this is an landscaped forest in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. (Sigh) ...it just remains a beautiful city.
