Auch wenn es keiner sieht:
Dieses Bild wurde zuerst komplett ultramarindunkelblau gemalt. Und dann, quasi aus der Tiefe der Farben, ans Licht des Pinselstriches gebracht. Simsalabim stand plötzlich (m)ein Bankenviertel von Toronto mitten auf der Leinwand.

Financial District
Even if nobody sees it: 
This image was initially primed in ultramarine dark blue and then, almost out of the depth of colors, brought to light by my brush strokes. It's pure magic! And sudenly (out of the blue) the financial district of Toronto appeared on the canvas.

In Port Isaac in Cornwall gibt es ein nett anzuschauendes Hotel in einer alten Schule. Ich wollte heute »was mit Autos« oder »was mit Häusern« malen. Hiermit hatte ich beides.

Laterna Magica

Eine Laterna Magica ist natürlich etwas ganz anderes, aber irgendwie schien die untergehende Sonne schon recht geheimnisvoll in und durch die Straßenlaterne eines Eckhauses in Puerto de Tazacorte.

Of course a laterna magica is something very different, but somehow the setting sun seemed to illuminate quite mysterious this street lamp in a corner house in Puerto de Tazacorte.

Das ist ein kleiner Glockenturm an einem unscheinbaren Hintereingang. (Zur Kirche?) Hier werden inzwischen auch Priester per Videokamera überwacht.

Uma

Manchmal nehme ich mir einfach die Zeit, um etwas Neues zu versuchen. Und Portaits gehören bislang noch nicht zu meinem Standardrepertoire. Anders, als gedacht, dauerte es gar nicht länger, als ich sonst für mein Daily Painting benötige, um diese Dame zu malen.

Petitesse I

Ich hatte heute Lust, eine ganze Kleinigkeit im Format 15 x 15 cm als Daily Painting zu malen. Das hat (zumindest mir) sehr viel Spaß bereitet, sodass ich plane, noch mehr von den kleinen Dingelchen zu machen. Vielleicht wird ja eine »Klein-Serie« draus.

I felt like doing a whole little thing in 6" x 6" as today's daily painting. This was lots of fun (at least to me). So I plan to paint more of these small little thingies. Maybe it will become a »Small Series«.

Auch die nächsten beiden Tage bleibe ich den Orangetönen treu. Heute versuche es »mit schnellem Strich« und versuche mich dabei an geschwungenen Erosionsschichten. Swing Musik passte beim Malen gut dazu.
