Die aktuelle DailyPaintWorks Challenge heißt »Etwas Neues«. 
Zuletzt habe ich im Studium vor 20 Jahren etwas Collageniöses gemacht. Neu ist heute auch, dass ich diesmal nichts ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt, sondern das Ganze direkt als Bild gemalt habe. 
Was soll ich sagen - Begeisterung geht anders.

The current Daily Paintworks Challenge is "something new." 
The last time I did a collage was during my studies 20 years ago. Another new addition is, that this time I have not cut and glued things together. The whole thing was painted as a picture.

Saint Aubert II

Ein weiterer Blick auf die Kapelle am Mont-Saint-Michel. Der gesamte Berg liegt auf einer kleinen Insel im Wattenmeer an der Grenze zur Bretagne. Sie beherbergt ein über 1.000 Jahre altes Benediktinerkloster. Besonders schön ist es, die Abtei abends bei einer »Son-et-Lumière-Veranstaltung« zu besichtigen, wenn die Räume mit Gesängen und spezieller Beleuchtung erfüllt sind.

Another view of the chapel on the Mont-Saint-Michel. The entire mountain is located on a small island in the Wadden Sea on the border to the Bretagne. It houses a 1.000-year-old Benedictine monastery. Especially nice is it to visit the abbey at night on a »son et lumière event«. Then the rooms are illuminated with songs and specially designed lighting.

Sprechstein

Viele Leute versprechen sich zum Jahreswechsel ja einen Blick in die Zukunft, indem sie flüssiges Blei in Schalen mit kaltem Wasser werfen. Andere verschlingen ihr Jahreshoroskop oder versinken im Kaffeesatz und wieder andere legen sich Karten, blicken gebannt in Glaskugeln und werfen Hühnerknöchelchen. 
Ich hingegen lasse heute einfach Steine sprechen.

Talking Stones
Many people hope to get a glimpse into the new year by throwing molten lead into dishes of cold water. Others devour their annual horoscope or sink into coffee grounds and still others lay cards, look confined in glass balls and throw chicken bones.
However, today I will let the stones speak to you.

Bergdorf im Schnee

Mmh... der Duft frischen Schnees lässt sich gut vom Geruch frischer Ölfarbe auf weißer Leinwand unterscheiden. Hier eine Symbiose als Dorflandschaft im Schnee in Öl.
