Nach dem großen Bild gestern brauchte ich etwas Kleines, das ich auch draußen auf der Terrasse malen kann. Dies habe ich vom iPad gemalt und dafür eine Google™ Streetview Aufnahme verwendet.

After the large format yesterday I needed something much smaller, that I can paint outside on the terrace. I painted directly from the iPad® by using a Google™ Streetview picture.

Gestern gab es endlich am Nachmittag mal schönes Wetter.

So habe ich spontan nach der Skizze aufgehört, mein großes Format zu malen und mich aufs Fahrrad geschwungen. Das erste Mal testweise mit Fahrradhelm. Irgendwie genauso nervig, wie ein Gipsarm. Das juckt die ganze Zeit unterm Helm und man kann sich nicht ordentlich kratzen.

Finally, there was nice weather yesterday afternoon.

So I spontaneously stopped painting this larger sized image right after the underpainting sketch and put my lazy bottom on the bike. The first time with a bicycle helmet (for testing purpose). Just annoying. A helmet is like a broken arm in cast. Itching all the time and you cannot scratch properly underneath.

Hier sehen wir unschuldige Tomaten auf dem Weg zum Schaffot. Bald werden sie geviertelt! (Für Zahlenfreunde: 1793 wird Marie Antoinette, Gemahlin Königs Ludwig XVI., wird mittels der Guillotine hingerichtet. War das nicht diejenige, welche ihrem Volk sagte, wenn es kein Brot habe, möge es Kuchen essen?)

Here we see some innocent tomatos on the way to the scaffold. They will soon be quartered! (For friends of numbers: 1793 is Marie Antoinette, wife of Louis XVI, was executed by the guillotine. Was not it she, who told her people if they have no bread, let them eat cake?

Am Samstag habe ich den Kurs von Jens Hübner für die Kunstfabrik fotografiert. Am Samstag hat sich der Urban Sketching Kurs u.a. auf dem Flohmarkt getroffen. Nach getaner Arbeit habe ich ebenfalls noch eine Skizze gemacht. Die Woche davor habe ich ganz in der Nähe schon mal gezeichnet. 

Heute treffen sich die Urban Sketchers Hannover um 11 Uhr am Döhrener Turm.

Saturday, I took some photos of Jens Huebner's workshop at the art factory. The urban sketchers met at the flea market. I mage a sketch for myself after the work was done. The week before I had drawn just around the corner.
