Sechs schöne und intensive Daily Painting Tage mit insgesamt 20 Teilnehmern gingen gestern zu Ende. Es ist immer wieder eine spannende Erfahrung so viele verschiedene Menschen, Ergebnisse und persönliche Malstile zu entdecken und zu fördern.

Six great and intense daily painting days with a total of 20 participants ended yesterday. It is always an exciting experience to discover and promote so many different people, results and explore personal painting styles.

Wenn es Trainingsbirnen gibt, muss es auch ebensolche Toamten geben, oder? Meine gestrige Vorführung zeigte den Teilnehmerinnen, wie man ein Stillleben mit Tomaten planen, aufbauen und umsetzen kann. Heute geht es dann mit dem Thema Landschaft weiter.

If there are training pears, there must be training tomatos as well, right? My presentation yesterday showed the participants how to plan, build and implement a still life with tomatoes. Today we will continue with the topic of landscape.

Gestern begann mein Daily Painting Workshop in der Kunstfabrik Hannover. Alle Teilnehmerinnen durften anfangs erst einmal Birnen malen. 

Ich hatte vorher auch ein wenig geübt.

Yesterday my daily painting workshop started at the Kunstfabrik Hannover. All students were allowed to paint some pears in the beginning. 

I had practiced a little before.

Zum heutigen Tag der Deutschen Einheit treffen sich Hinz und Kunz in Dresden. Wir »Mittwochs-Sketchies« waren schon vorletztes Wochenende dort und haben die Stadt quasi wegskizziert.

On today's German Unity Day each Tom and Dick and Harry meet in Dresden. We spent the penultimate weekend there and sketched the city virtually away.

Dieses Bild gefällt mir wegen seines schönen Farbkontrasts. Die Blätter des Kürbis schimmern leicht blautürkis, der Kürbis ist in einem satten Orangeton .

Pumpkinhead

I must admit, that I like ma own painting just because of its beautiful color contrast. The leaves of the pumpkin shine light blue turquoise, the pumpkin is in rich shades of orange.

Herbstzeit. Da wird der eine oder andere Kürbis über den Ladentisch gereicht. Bei unseren Nachbarn wachsen die Kürbisse gerade quer durch den Vorgarten und seine Tentakeln klopfen schon an die Haustür.

Pumpkin Time

Autumn time. One or another pumpkin is served over the counter. Our neighbors grow some pumpkins straight across the front yard and it's tentacle are just knocking on the front door.

Wo genau dieser Weg war, wusste ich gar nicht mehr. Aber ich konnte Rückschlüsse anhand des Datums ziehen: Es ist auf dem Weg vom Wildkogelhaus zur Berger Alm.

In the Forest

Where exactly this way leads, I didn't recognized at first. But I could draw conclusions based on the date: It is the path from Wildkogelhaus to the Berger Alm.

Hier haben wir von den Brühlschen Terrassen aus die Münzgasse mit dahinterliegendem Neubau der Frauenkirche skizziert (Baukosten: 182,6 Millionen €).

What would be a sketching tour to Dresden without the Frauenkirche?

Here we have the view from the Bruehl terraces to the Muenzgasse. 

In the background the newly built Frauenkirche (construction cost: 205.5 million US$).
