0313 Sommerziel

Gestern konnte man bei sommerlichen Temperaturen endlich wieder draußen malen. Diesmal auch seit langem wieder einmal in Öl. Meine Erfahrung zeigt, dass ich hierfür ungefähr doppelt so viel Zeit, wie für ein Acrylbild benötige.
Das Motiv ist exakt 4 Jahre alt und stammt von einer Wanderung durch das  Biosphärenresevat  Rhön.

Summer Target
To my pleasure the outside temperatures allowed to paint outside yesterday. My experience shows that I need about twice as much time as for an acrylic painting.
The motive is exactly 4 years old and comes from a hike through the biosphere reserve of the Rhoen.

Die nördlichste Kathedrale im venezianischen Barockstil mitten in Hannover. Gestern skizziert und heute in schwarz-rot-gold verewigt. Stehen auf dem Altar wirklich Schweini und Gomez als »TippKick®«-Figuren?

Basilica of St. Clement
The northernmost cathedral in Venetian Baroque style right in the middle of Hanover. Sketched yesterday and today immortally outlined in black, red and gold. Is it really Schweiny and Gomez standing on the altar as »TippKick®« playing figures ?

Energieverlust

Warum es in französischen Häusern wie auf diesem Daily Painting energetisch suboptimal zugeht, ahnt jeder. Hierzulande muss jede Fassade, jedes Dach und jedes Fenster inzwischen gedämmt und gepuffert und gepampert werden, bis selbst die Stubenfliegen keine Luft mehr bekommen.

Loss of EnergyIt is not very difficult to guess why French houses, like in this daily painting have a suboptimal energy efficiency. Whereas in German houses every cladding, every roof and every window now has to be insulated and buffered and pampered so that even the houseflies get no breath any more.

Concerto

Allabendlich spielen die Orchester in den Caféhäusern und Restaurants am Piacetta San Marco in Venedig für die späten Besucher. Diesmal habe ich bewusst ein Rundbogenfenster gewählt.

Every evening the orchestras are playing in the coffee houses and restaurants on the Piacetta San Marco in Venice for the late visitors. This time it I've chosen the round-arched windows on purpose.

Oft sieht man den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht. Und manchmal kommt sogar der Weg abhanden. Kann passieren. Gerne auch auf Réunion, wo das Nebeltier sich unversehens auf einer Wanderung manifestieren kann.

Gestern ging es auf einer Mini-Radtour zu den Herrenhäuser Gärten. Dort wollten die goldenen Figuren (unter anderem der Borghesische Fechter) bewundert werden.

Yesterday the tour lead me to Hanover's most famous Baroque Gardens of Herrenhausen. Admiration of the golden statues is obligatory. In particular the Borghese fencer.

Jetzt wehen sie wieder, die Patriotenfläggchen. Aber zwei Plastikfahnen machen aus einem Opel Corsa noch immer keine Staatskarosse. Stattdessen male ich lieber ein paar andere Wimpelchen.

Ein Teich im Park. Mit Goldfischli und Seerosen. Ganz wie bei Herrn Monet. Aber eher in Hannover als in Giverny. Darum auch nicht ganz so schön.

Nite@Dundas

Aus aktuellem Anlass habe ich für einen Freund mal wieder in den Kanada-Memorabilien gestöbert. Somit durfte ich die ganze Nacht über von Toronto träumen. Ergebnis ist das heutige Daily Painting.

We have rummaged in our Canada memorabilia because of a friend soon visit to Toronto. So I dreamt of Toronto all nite long. The result is the today's daily painting.
