Jedenfalls in einigen südlichen Wäldern Englands.

Belongs to the Asparagus species and blooms from mid-April to mid-May. 

Anyway, in some forests in Southern England. 

Also could be seen somewhere near Hueckelhoven.

Diese Straße in Quedlinburg heißt wirklich »Hölle«.

Wie es zum Namen kommt, hat der Guide nicht erzählt, oder ich habe es wegen des lauten Baulärms nicht mitbekommen. 

Der Lärm war aber auch wirklich infernalisch.

Hell 

This road in Quedlinburg is really called »Hölle« (German for Hell). 

The guide did not tell us about the namegiving, or I have not noticed because of the loud construction noise. 

And this noise really was hell!

Over the Roofs of Quedlinburg 

Quedlinburg is a protected by the UNESCO as World Heritage. It has got lots of nice cafes, shops and offers a nice city tour. From the castle hill you can watch this great picturesque roofs.

20 Jahre nach meinem letzten Besuch in Quedlinburg. Und natürlich beeindrucken noch immer die alten Fachwerkhäuser und reizvollen Straßen der 1000 Jahre alten Stadt jeden Besucher. Da es draußen recht kalt und unangenehm war, habe ich von drinnen einen schönen Platz durchs Fenster des schönen Café Roland gemalt.

20 years after had passed since my last visit to Quedlinburg, a small medieval town in the Harz region of Germany. And of course the streets and old buildings have not lost their charme and beauty. Though it was quite cold and uncomfortable, we painted from the inside looking out.

»Das Bild habe ich doch schon vorgestern gesehen!« 

mag mancher regelmäßige Besucher meiner Daily Paintings spontan denken. Bei genauem Vergleich der beiden Versionen merkt er dann aber, dass es sich beim heutigen Motiv um eine veränderte Version handelt. Da ich nicht so zufrieden mit meinem Bild war, habe ich es kurzerhand mit Ölfarben neu übermalt.

»Hey, I've seen this painting before« you might think spontaneously. 

A closer comparison of the two versions from today and from saturday will show you, that this is a modified version. Since I was not so happy with my painting, I simply over-painted the old one with oil paints.
