Werbegeschenk. Gifted.

Nach dem Regen führt uns eine, von matschigen Pfützen gesäumte Gasse zum weniger schönen Teil des Touristenortes. Aber Schönheit liegt bekanntlich im Auge des Betrachters. Und ich finde das Bild diesmal selber »echt schön«.

An alley with many muddy puddles leads to the poorer part of the tourist resort. But beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, as wel all know. And I believe the painting turned out to be»really beautiful«.

Heute stehe ich als Betrachter oben auf dem Leuchtturm von Kap Arkona und schaue durch die umlaufende Reling nach unten. Obwohl ich doch gar nicht schwindelfrei bin. Erinnert mich auch ein wenig an eine Achterbahn.

From the Lighthouse
Today I'm standing on top of the lighthouse of Cape Arkona and am looking down through the rail. Well, I'm always a bit acrophobic. This one reminds me a bit of a roller coaster.

Normale Leuchttürme sind für das von mir bevorzugte quadratische Format wohl eher ungeeignet. Aber ich hab's ja sowieso eher mit den Details. 

Hier ist also ein Detail vom Leuchturm am Kap Arkona auf Rügen.

Beim diesjährigen Empfang des neuen Oberbürgermeisters von Hannover war unsere Skizziertruppe sehr fleißig unterwegs. Meine Ergebnisse (Tusche und Lavierung im Skizzenbuch 15 x 21 cm) sind auch sehr umfangreich geworden. Heute ein Teil davon.

Achtung Wortspiel: 

Gestern Les Baux, heute Les Baugen.

Das Motiv ist dasselbe, aber ich habe den Lattenzaun weggelassen.

Das wirkte »dramatischer«.

Attention word game:

Yesterday Les Baux, Les Baugen today. 

(»Baugen« in French sounds like »Bogen« in German, hich means »Arches«)

The motive is the same, but I've omitted the picket fence.

This I found more "dramatic".

Schnell, weil ich heute meine Ausstellung bei boesner Hannover zuende vorbereitet habe, welche ab heute bis zum 31. Januar dort zu sehen ist. Insgesamt kann man 146 meiner Daily Paintings dort live betrachten. Sie sehen in echt noch echter aus, als im Internet! Einen kleinen Sektempfang gibt es zur »Midissage« am 18. In the jungle of La Réunion, there are no wild monkeys.

In general, the most dangerous animal there is the mosquito that can transmit dengue and chikungunya fever.
