Ja, ich kenne auch den alten Kalauer, dass die Hannoveraner Männer ihre Frauen an der Leine spazierenführen. Ein weiteres (größerformatiges) Motiv von »Kopfüber«. 
Ebenfalls auf dem Kopf stehend gemalt. Nicht ich! Das Motiv!

There's an very (very very) old joke, that the Hanoverian men walk their wives on the line. (Which is a play on the words »Leine« (for leash) and »Leine« which is the main stream in Hanover. One could say, to be online is mainstream in Hanover. And so on and on and on.

Ich finde das eigentlich blöd, was der Baselitz da immer macht. Andererseits habe ich das Experiment genossen und heute ebenfalls mal ein gut abgehangenes Motiv für euch. 
Muss man das jetzt dann auch falsch herum aufhängen? 
Ich finde »vielleicht« ist die richtige Antwort.

I normally thought that's really stupid, what Mr. Baselitz does. On the other hand I enjoyed the experiment and it's now a hanging-out girl. 
Question: Does ít have to be hung this way ?

Erstmals in England, wusste ich nicht, was das sein soll, das da auf dem gelben Schild stand. »HGV?« »Hepatitis G Virus«? Mitten auf der Straße? Wohl eher »Heftig Große Vehikel«. Das traf es dann fast. Heißt also: »Heavy Goods Vehicle«. Na, bei uns heißt's ja auch »Laster«.

Kaffeehaussitzenskizzen

Heute war unsere Mittwochsgruppe mit allen 6 Sinnen über den Dächern von Hannovern. Dann kam der Schnee und man konnte kaum noch etwas von der schönen Stadtsilhouette erkennen. Trotzdem hier ein paar Skizzen.

Today our WednesdaySketchGroup sits with all its 6 senses over the roofs of Hanover. Then the snow came. And then it got more snow. And then I could hardly see anything else but white and grey. Nevertheless, here are some sketches.

Im Hintergrund zeichnet sich übrigens San Francisos Coit Tower ab. Besonders gelungen finde ich die leuchtende Straße am Horizont.

Ganz so verrostet ist mein Fahrrad zum Glück noch nicht. Als bekennender Schönwetterfahradfahrer muss ich bei diesem hannoveraner Märzwetter wohl immer noch etwas warten, bis ich die Kette ölen darf.

Waldfrühling

Gestern las ich in unserer Tageszeitung von jemandem, der froh ist, dass die Sonne noch nicht so viel scheint. Schließlich brächte die Sonne den ganzen Winterdreck in der Wohnung, die Schlieren und den Staub auf dem Fenstern zum Vorschein. 
Recht hat er: Zum Frühjahrsputz habe ich auch noch überhaupt keine Lust. 
So muss ich mir den frühlingshaften Spaziergang im von der Sonne beschienenen zartgrünen Wald eben vorerst noch selber malen.

Spring Forest
Yesterday somebody in our newspaper told us that he is happy about the lack of sunshine. Well, finally the sun shows all the winter's filth in the apartment, the dirt and dust on the windows and so on. He's right. Me too, I have no desire for spring cleaning. So I had to paint that springtime walk in the sunlit tender green forest and still hope for rain and snow.
