Auf der Fähre

So schön kann eine fünfeinhalbstündige Fährfahrt sein. 

Sonne pur und milder Fahrtwind begleiten die Passage.

So beautiful can be a five and a half hour ferry ride .

Langesund

Heute wohl das letzte Daily Sketching aus Norwegen.

Grimstad

So langsam geht es leider wieder Richtung Fähre gen Süden. Heute haben wir in Grimstad die sonnige  und wirklich schöne Flaniermeile und den Blick über den Hafen genossen.

Unfortunately, we're back on the track towards the ferry to the south. But today, we have enjoyed the sunny and really beautiful promenade and the view to the port.

Lykkja Kapell

Bei einer Kleinen Kapelle am Wegesrand fand ich diese hübschen Birken im Gegenlicht.

In a small chapel at the wayside I found this pretty birch trees in thr backlight.

Stabkirche Hegge

Nochmals eine einfache Stabkirche aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. 

Again a simple type of stave church from the 13th century.

Kjølabu

Nach 32 Jahren kehren wir nochmals an den Platz des Kennenlernens zurück

After 32 years we go back again to the place where it all began ...

Mollandsmarki

Gestern haben wir die anstrengende Wanderung auf den Molden (1116 m) gemacht. 

Zur Belohnung gab es einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den Sognefjord.

Yesterday we made the arduous trek to the Molden (1116 m). 

The reward was a fantastic view of the Sognefjord.

Hier haben wir bei tollem Sonnenschein leckeren Kaffe Latte genossen.

Gestern gab es die Tour über den Lysefjord mit nebelverhangenem Preikestolen (600 Meter hoher quadratischer Felsüberhang).

Lange haben wir uns auf den gestrigen Klosterbesuch-Zeichentermin in Marienwerder gefreut. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ein herzlicher Empfang, Aufenthalt und Abschied und auch glücklicherweise »kein Regen«. Die Zeit flog nur so dahin und ließ uns nur einige wenige Ansichten zeichnen. Wir möchten das auf jeden Fall im Herbst wiederholen. 

Ein besonderer Dank der freundlichen und ambitionierten Äbtissin! 

Convent

Since long we have been looking forward to visit the Marienwerder monastery. And we were not disappointed. A warm welcome, stay and departure and fortunately »no rain«. Time was fleeting (as always) and let us draw only a few sketches. We definitely want to repeat this in fall. 

Special thanks to the friendly and ambitioned abbess!

Ich habe meine Odysseus-Serie wohl etwas vernachlässigt. Aber dieser ließ es sich bei Kirke ja auch ein Jahr lang gutgehen. Schließlich gab sie auch den in Schweine verzauberten Gefährten von Odysseus deren menschliche Gestalt wieder.

If you should'nt know better, you could almost think that there would be little alternative places for drawing in Hanover. But the Maschsee Party started on Wednesday. And then you meet up here.
